No they did this deal for marketing and revenue reasons. They
good off Yao for years. They saw a opporunity to bank on the next big Asian and gave Lin the money. The Houston Rockets did'nt do this move for there next pg even tho Lin is a decent one. But they did this for the money. They will make more money for the franchise this way. It's not my team but if a person like Lin is bringing in constant revenue I would do the deal as well.
