Lin was a total unknown. He came in, got an opportunity to shine, took advantage of it, and played his ass off. Gave the people something to talk about other than the Heatles or how many shots Kobe should or should not be taking. Just so happens he found a team willing to take a chance on him hoping he'll improve, and move merchandise. I didn't think son did anything anyone else in his position wouldn't have attempted, but you have cats waiting with bated breath so they can celebrate the day he's "exposed." I've never seen anything like it.

:rudy: GTFOH with that i cant believe bullshyt.. what we got an issue with is 14 M for a nikka who is a back up nikka.. aint no body hating on him doing whats best for him.. other than the renegotiation of that final year.

Money is not an issue for the knicks, most knicks fans would agree that the reason why Lin wasn't matched was because of Dolan's ego. They let Lin walk away, literally the best thing to happen to their team in years for absolutely nothing. In that 3rd year, they could have unloaded him if he wasn't performing. So again, get your facts straight, money is NOT an issue.

Lin said money was not a issue . Then why go back and negotiate the poison pill after knicks said they would match if it was Just about staying in ny? That's the type of business negotiation that backfires yes get as much money as you want but don't piss people off. And the notion he was dead broke ? He got 40 mil from volvo already he wasn't hurting . The move just looks odd
The best thing to happen to the Knicks was amare did you forget him?grtying MVP chants in other arenas. Hes the one who carried us 54 games and the reason we even got all those national games . Lin was a sensational story people Act like before Lin the Knicks were the bobcats in terms of Money the Knicks always make money .

Don't quote me with this nonsense. I've seen more cats on here bytch and moan about them wanting to see the guy "exposed" than giving a damn about his salary. All the terrible contracts in the league and this is sending people into a fenzy? Please. The guy is 23 like I said. He took the best offer available, like you or any other person would have. If he never improves, Houston will have to live with that, but get the fukk out of here with that "14 million is too much!" bullshyt when you had cats celebrating the first sub par game this guy had last season when he was making 700,000$.

Amare is the best thing that happened to the knicks? Are you serious? And Lin is not the one that went back to ask for more money, if anything it was his agent, inexperienced. And the Rockets really wanted lin, what you going to do, turn down bigger contract? If it was you, you would turn it down? That's great business for the rockets because they blindsided the knicks who was just not prepared. And Dolan is known to be fukked up like that, look at the knicks history. Amare didn't get MSG record ratings, amare didn't have people believing in the knicks again, amare is second to melo. Lin did not say money is not an issue, that's what the knicks said, they literally said they'll match up to a billion, from their mouth. Get your facts straight.

How exactly is it wasted??? There's still plenty of wiggle room for anything to happen. They both addressed a much needed empty void on the team, one of which has been missing for years.

What void did they address? They added a big man who can't catch and a pg who isn't half as good as the 2 pgs they just got rid of.....and they're paying him more than Lowry/dragic
