I never said it wouldn't work. I said nobody asked for it and didn't give a shyt.

It made money because the budget was low and had name recognition so people were going to at least check it out. It also had DeNiro and Phoenix in it who had a built in following.
It won awards because take away the makeup and Easter eggs, it wasn't really a "comic book" movie so it was judged on other merits. Furthermore, the movie didn't win best picture so what are you talking about

The only good part of the movie was the credit scene. Reminded me of what this universe could have been. Good to see these new executives giving fans what they want.

I think it makes a lot of sense and not surprising with Leto back in the fold, especially since HBOmax is thirsty for content and it'll be easier to put together an ayer cut.

It makes sense to make Ayer & Snyder's projects mini-series for HBO MAX, like Disney+ is doing.

I like the idea of having separate universes of DC (that are darker) on HBO MAX. All these actors are tied up in contracts with DC anyways, I'm sure they don't mind the extra pay days for some more work.
