I was in that thread. From what I remember certain scenes in the movie resemble comic book panels, when you complete divorce the context of the scenes/panels from the story.

I welcome more Director's cuts of films.. They aren't always "better" than what the studio put out but sometimes they are and it's interesting to see the differences.

A perfect example is Kingdom of Heaven. The theatrical version is ass.. the director's cut is amazing. There is a stark difference, it's ridiculous...

Chronicles of Riddikk greatly improved because of the Directors Cut. If studios really wanted money, they'd release that with the original cut.
