I don't think the quips are too much. It shouldn't be as dark as BvS by nature.

Only problem I have is the way Bruce recruits Barry Allen is almost identical to how Tony recruited Peter Parker in Civil War.

I could care less about the quips (or attempts to), what bothers me the most is Bruce Wayne going around like 'Here's a Batarang, I'm Batman, come join me you complete stranger that I saw in a ten second video clip'. That motherfukker went from being a stone cold paranoid sociopath to an upbeat man-of-the-people at the drop of a Martha.
