Had me a little "Jurassic Park" Marathon Yesterday before the movie. Watched Part 1 and "The Lost World" (Sorry, no need to see Part III again weakest of the franchise). Both films definitely hold very well. "The Lost World" had more flaws of course but watching it again after so many years I realized it expanded the mythology of the franchise and where we end up in "Jurassic World". Movie definitely lived up, it started kinda slow but once they are at the park and looking at the attractions the movie never stops. The park was dope, it was really a Disney/Sea World/Kings Dominion/Animal Kingdom. It really was a theme park. Very high tech and completely believable. The New T-Rex was brutal on so many levels. Chris and Bryce both did good in the lead roles. I thought she carried it though. It's not that Chris didn't do good, he did it's just She brought so much to her character being emotionless you saw her evolve throughout the movie. The kids were kind of annoying especially the EMO older brother.
But not enough to ruin the movie. Really the entire film is saved by the last act, the plot is a little all over the place but by the end you see they are just expanding on what the other movies did. Going in I felt it would definitely feel closer to the original but after coming out I feel this film has more similarities with "The Lost World" . The entire Military element is ripped straight from "The Lost World". The Military Subplot is a natural progression of the story if you watched the other Jurassic Park films so this isn't a surprise plot twist. They have been mixing dna and genetics since the first film. That's why it was great that BD WONG came back and his role from the first movie. He was the only returning cast member of the original Films.
So I feel the movie actually payed homage to the first 2 Jurassic Park films. Lastly the entire Raptor aspect lived up in the end. I was torn on the whole "Training Raptors" but when you see how it's incorporated in the plot it really works. The fukkery of the last 45 mins is worth it and why the movie succeeded. Nice entry into the franchise, if they open this park after this they have lost their minds, lol. It was cool to finally see the Park Open. No Lie, I would go to Jurassic Park as long as it doesn't turn into an adventure, lol. Check out it, worth the price of admission. Again it definitely had problems as far as some plot points and dialogue with those kids but again not enough to ruin it. The goal of these movies are to take you on a Dinosaur Ride and it did just that. The New T-REX is GOAT STATUS. Dude was taking bodies like crazy:
INDOMINOUS REX YOU HAD ME AT HELLO, lol
