Official Jordan Peele's "The Twilight Zone" Thread (4/1)

I need to go back and watch some eps. I bought the DVD set that came with the OG and 80s versions. I only seen like 3 discs.

I still watch the original Twilight Zone on SyFy every night. Rod Serling was more innovative than anyone could really imagine. There were episodes that had to have influenced the creation of Westworld and many other shows. There was even an episode that could've inspired the Faceless Men from Game of Thrones, and another that could've been a precursor to Toy Story.

Hard to recreate that kind of brilliance, but I'd like to see what Peele brings to the table. Get Out was Twilight Zone-ish...so this could be right up his alley.

I'm excited, the original was a great outlet for Sci-Fi writers. Roddenberry, Bradbury. It'll be interesting to see who turns out for this iteration.

Rod Sterling was TRULY brilliant. Still watch the originals to this day. The guy was just plain gifted. This is why all the Twighlight Zone remakes created afterwards failed... because they didnt have a person at the helm as talented as Rod.

This could be different.. because if theres anyone who could fxck with Rod Sterling its Peele. We have brilliance at the helm this time around.

the 80's sucked..the 90's was shyt and the 2000's was atrocious..

the 60's was damn classic.

Exactly. None of them fukked with 60s. Rod's 60s will always be the best and classic.
