Ballard spews the same Midwest rah-rah gruff every time. His word choice throughout that whole press conference was laughable. He “gets off” on the team struggling, then equates media criticism against his whiffs as GM to the likes of cancel culture. He’s extremely fortunate to not be fired after the season we had.
He has Irsay convinced he's a "winner" despite the team having a poor record under him.
And you know Ballard has been copping all sorts of pleas like:
"But but Luck retired"
"We didn't expect 40 year old Rivers to retire"
"Wentz was 100% Reich's fault, I'm not the one who traded away a first for him!"
"You made me hire Saturday"
Ballard needs to get his shyt together, this is about to be his hardest offseason. He's talked a lot about his fear of drafting a QB, he knows if the QB busts that's his ass. And now Indy is almost forced to draft one.
