Most of this happened because Carrie messed up so bad its not even funny, if Jay Electronica was still around none of this would fly.

Carrie should have never been in charge. What's worst she had to black mail Lockhart to get the post.

Save Saul but let 50 people die & negotiate with terrorists. :smh:

Even Saul had nothing say and didn't even hit Carrie with disappointed look as he headed to the airport.

I wonder what happens next season, because the President already made her lea

:laff: :mjlol: at calling estes jay electronica.

you know he was fukking carrie back in the day and it's suggested she's the reason he got divorced prior to the events of season 1.

The head of the CIA caved to terrorists and handed over intel? What? Was he not taught "We don't negotiate with terrorists”? Should have listened to Saul to drop bomb on them so none of this would have happened.

The CIA director giving over the asset list was pretty stupid but the scene still had me breathless.

Loved Quinn this episode. He took charge, he took out the terrorists, he shot their leader, he ran off after them, he interrogated Saul. He's 100x the leader that Carrie is or the CIA head. Quinn should be in charge!. I wish Carrie had just left. I think she's going to end up being a huge burden for Quinn

Dennis is the worst. He had the chance to do the right thing for once and f*cked it up and had me :mjlol: and :dead:. What a slime ball. So many great new characters this season - I am loving Homeland again.

Am I the only one roooting for Haqqani? I was like :salute: at Haqqani...no lie.

man that whole not negotiating with terrorist went out the window when they handed over 5 terrorist in exchange for saul in the last epsiode (episode 9).

The director of the CIA gave away some G14 classified shyt to a top terrorist to save 5 workers from dying. The terrorists had no way of getting into the room where the power players were, help was gonna eventually come, you've put the entire country and other assets working in countries all over the world at risk to save 5 AT BEST mid level employees.

This isn't on some Pulp Fiction shyt where a restaurant manager isn't gonna let 5 people die over the $200 in the register, this is some serious shyt.

Lockhart been the dude that's done nothing but talk shyt and tell people to fukk themselves, but when they about to kill Fara he goes :whoa:here's the most important confidential information the CIA has in the building with a bunch of our secrets.

And not only is Saul no longer a government employee, he wasn't supposed to be over there, he was trying to track a cat from ISI and got caught. Quinn fukked up overriding Carrie - which still doesn't make sense to me since Carrie was supposed to be running the joint - they had a chance to take out the new Osama and they let personal feelings get in the way, even though everyone that knows Saul knows he would have wanted them to take the shot.

This is the best season since season 1, which was damn near perfect, possibly because it was lifted straight from the Israeli show, but it still has those things that remind you that the creators of 24 are the show runners.

Didnt have a problem with Lockhard opening the door :manny:

You standing there watching people get straight executed...a lot of us probably do the same :manny:

What I do have a problem with is the entire US presence pulling out, but leaving two well known, and highly recognizable field agents behind to continue the fight alone. Makes for good TV, but thats some sutter level fukkery....unless I'm seeing it wrong :lupe:

nikka, when it is time to go, it's time to go. If you wanna play batman, they'll let you. But if you get caught :manny: They ain't sending units to help you.

Lockhart says something to the effect of her not having any agency backup. They're not being left behind to continue the fight, they're being left behind because they decided to stay. If they get murked it's on them.
btw, I never saw 24 before, so I can't compare the two shows. if 24 is like the season we have been having this year, I might have to fukk with it.
If this show was 24, Quinn and the black dude would have murked every single terrorist in there before they even got to the vault. Besides very general similarities (terrorism, Middle Easterners, espionage, some politics) the comparison is only made because the creators of Homeland were executive producers for 24. You'd be better off comparing Homeland to Zero Dark Thirty or something along those lines.

24 is awesome(especially early on) in its own way and you should definitely check it out, tho

I know it's true to her character, but it seemed to me that the most emotional that Carrie got was when she was told that the President no longer had faith in her to do the job. That's when she really teared up. Not when looking at those bodies are getting told off by Max.

Carrie barely has feelings for her own child....you think she gives a fukk or have empathy for others :heh:

For those saying this was out of character for Lockhart, must have missed a couple of seasons. He's been proven to be all bark and no bite...and when push comes to shove, he always folds or get out-witted.

I don't think so breh.

I would be thinking about self preservation at that point. Haqqani should have just opened fire as soon as Lockhart opened that door. Kill everybody plus get the files, win win.

That's what I would have been thinking so there's no way I'm opening that door.

Alot of those in charge don't really see the fallout of shyt like that so up close...they usually thousand miles away when they giving missions and shyt that will end in deaths.

I liked that scene...

On the flipside I bet if he wasn't in that building he would've been on some "She knew what she signed up for" type of shyt...being so up close that shyt would've been on his conscience I believe.

Though i'm pretty sure they just did that scene to make Lockhart more likeable...writers must like him this season.

for all the n*ggaz knocking Lockharts decision to give up the classified docs... remember how that n*gga became the Director of the CIA

he never worked his way up through the ranks... he was never in the CIA, rather he was a SENATOR with no prior INTELLIGENCE experience other than serving on that senate sub-committee and was appointed by the pres to that position... remember that should have been Saul's job

i think the writers built up that aspect in season 2/3 and showed lockhart f*cking up when directly faced with terrorism for a reason... there will probably be a change at the top soon. sh*t there might be a new pres on the show for all we know. that's a major f*ck up on both their parts and the public (in real life) would never stand for no sh*t like that.
