I haven't seen the movie yet so I can't judge but since he has been getting critical acclaim for it, but how would you guys feel if they picked up Dope's Shameik Moore for Stewart?

Too young...I want a John Stewart that can take command of Guy and Hal without them shooting him the :stopitslime:look.

Then he could chin check them with his impeccably detailed constructs, since he's almost always been the one whose constructs were the most effective.

But really, I'm just throwing his name out there because I try to focus the discussion out of the box of Tyrese and long established actors.

I am with you on not wanting Tyrese and I do think Idris Elba is a pipe dream that fans need to let go of.

My story in my head for this movie was that John is a veteran GL and the first Earthling to ever be given a ring and he has been roaming the universe doing GL work for years and when he gets called in to team up with Hal and Guy, John is the one who takes the lead since he is the most experienced.
And my ultimate fancasting was for Denzel Washing to get the part.

But since I am not writing the script and movie John will likely be in the 25-40 age range I think Nate Parker or Aldis Hodge would be good picks.

Sidenote..... There was a huge self etherous statement made gat I'm sure DC Stan's are going to try to ignore and deny all they want!!:skip:

The writer openly admitted that DC has absolutely no idea what they are trying to do or the direction they want to go with WW, Flash, & AM.....:russ:

While on the Marvel side they actually have an "endgame" and know exactly what they are trying to accomplish with all their characters and have multiple options and ideas to use them.:lolbron:

At this point is it still even fair to continue to bring up this so called "Marvel vs DC war"?!:mjlol:
:snoop: check DC... Your move marvel

They'd never make John the OG earth Lantern and they shouldn't. I always felt the chronology of the Earth's lanterns is spot-on in the comics. You got Hal, who has some tactical skills and is the principal GL. Gardner is an additional and works best in that role because he supplements Hal in the sense they both can get reckless (him moreso, hence why he's not fit to be the leader ever). Which is where Stewart comes in because he's the cool-headed one and has the most tactical expertise on top of having the strongest constructs, justifying him taking charge over Hal when shyt goes down. Then there's Kyle who's a bit of an outsider (in line with him being the youngest/newest Lantern) but has the greatest potential of them all.
