I like that your loadout will determine how difficult the boss fights will be. I had all my top ranked gear to fight Mr. Freeze, but since I didn't have any incendiary ammo the fight was pointless. I equipped my cryo armor and fire bullets for Red Hood and beat the shyt out of Freeze.

Cooped this earlier this week because it was half off.

The opening is ROUGH. And I made the mistake of starting out as Red Hood. Combat with him was sluggish as shyt.

You gotta play the game differently which each character. Red Hood become an absolute beast after you increase his combat & gun skills. Any fight involving waves is best handled by Nightwing.

Well, yeah. If all four characters played the same, there'd be no use in having four characters. Matter of fact, if there was any real criticism of the Arkham series, it's that for the occasions where you can play as other characters, there aren't enough differences. Everyone is just Batman, but varying degrees of faster.

And I figyred that Red Hood would serve better as a mid to late game character after playing the first couple of missions as him. He's just so slow, and his guns have absolutely no punch to them, but I assumed that's one of those things that gets better with upgrades.

But to explain what I meant with the opening being rough, it sucked to be ready to play, firing the game up for the first time, and then having a solid 15 minutes of cutscenes to sit through, most of which include combat. One of my gaming pet peeves is when some of the best combat happens in shyt you watch instead of do, when it could easily be the other way around.

I just started playing this weekend. The combat is pretty stiff, which is a little disappointing and took some getting used to. The game gets better as you unlock more skills. Although I hate when games do this. I understand wanting to have some progression, but a game shouldn't have you to wait for it to become good.

For example, in Ratchet and Clank, even with the basic weapons they give you at the start, the game is still fun with just the basic weapons and skills, and becomes even better after you unlock more shyt. In Gotham Knights, the combat didn't start to become more fun until you reach level 5. Gameplay is a bit of a chore until that point.

Those your screenshots? :wow: I agree about the game being better once you're further along in skills. My least favorite parts are the Mr. Freeze battles.

I just did the first Mr. Freeze mission. It seemed like that swarm of goons was never going to end.

Yeah those are my screenshots. The photo mode is better than I expected.
