Examine the views of the average centrist and left of center white person. They still aren’t comfortable with people being called out on racist and fascism unless it’s blatant. Plus they think America is a true meritocracy.

Well Pelosi is a woman so it's easy to paint her as an evil witch. Especially when a large portion of people in this country believe it is fundamentally against God for a woman to be in a leadership position.

Also, when many people think of fascism, they only think of Hitler and the Nazis. If someone is not openly calling for the extermination an entire group of people then there is a plausible deniability loophole. Republicans use that loophole often, ex; "We're against illegal immigration not legal immigration"
