I heard this was shot at 120fps which sounds crazy  also not hearing good reviews, outside of the novelty of seeing Will fight a younger version of himself there didn’t seem to be much else here

Seems like the visuals and Will are dope...but the David Benioff script is a mess..:francis:

Now is that because he truly wrote a trash script or is there still some angst for what he did with the last season of GOT :patrice:

This dude ruins everything.

I just came from seeing it in 120fps 3D at the AMC Aventura Miami and it the visuals were INSANE :whew:. But it’s only playing at 120fps in 14 theatres in the entire US & in all honesty I wouldn’t recommend it unless you could see it at one of those. The action was great but the story was meh & I couldn’t see the movie looking half as good in 2d or lower quality.

This article shows the diff theatres playing it in 120fps:
No movie theater in America will play Gemini Man as it was meant to be seen

Idk but that’s 1000% on the director not doing his due diligence to know that most theatres wouldn’t be capable of playing the film how he wanted it to be seen.

Watched it last night. I didn’t find it boring personally but yes, it would’ve been just alright, run-of-the-mill if not for the Will vs Will battles and the 3D experience. It’s been stressed enough: this is one of the films where it’s worth it to go 3D, and you might be doing yourself a disservice otherwise.

I’m in Chicago and caught it in 3D+ but 60 FPS. Supposedly AMC River East is the only local spot with the 120 FPS joint, yet on the Atom ticket app both theaters lists it as the 60 FPS. So either I missed out slightly, or not at all...

Speaking of missing out, showed up hella late and missed the first 7 minutes or so. Anybody wanna spoiler tag and put me up on what happened? I assume it was a certain event that was mentioned throughout the film. Wanna know if it’d be worth sneaking in it to watch that part at another time. Thanks!
