Newsom acknowledges the opposition likely has the requisite signatures.
I didn't see any other threads about this. Post any Newsom recall news and opinions here.
It looks like the recall election will likely happen, and 60% of recall elections (100% of gubernatorial recall elections) resulted in the incumbent losing their job. If people vote him out, his replacement will be whoever gets the most votes, and he can't run against himself
Gonna be a lot of fukkery.
Dems are nervous enough to start throwing their weight behind Newsom
Warren, Sanders join Newsom to fight 'extremist' GOP recall
The Recall folks say they have over 2M signatures.
California specifically. Only one governor has faced recall, and he lost his job.where did you get this number from? there have only been two governors recalled in the countrys history
off the top of my head i know scott walker faced one and won
yeah that was gray davis who lost because there was a huge electricity crisis caused by enron creating artificial shortages.California specifically. Only one governor has faced recall, and he lost his job.

The survey, conducted by the independent California-based firm Probolsky Research, found 46 percent of voters and 53 percent of those who say they are likely to vote in a recall election would vote to keep Newsom in office. Forty percent of all voters and 35 percent of likely recall voters would vote to remove him.
Like I implied earlier the only people (by and large) who even care about this likely didn’t and never would have voted for him anyway. It’s funny seeing these clowns whine tho.
