How ironic is it that democrats rolled out their watered down (but not bad), Manchin approved voting reform/protection bill on the very day that republicans will begin the next stage of their voter fraud campaign. Newsom is going to win tonight, barring some surprise, and it might not be close. But instead of saying "well it's a deep blue state, it was never a slam dunk but maybe we can build towards something in California" the republican talking point will be "Larry Elder won but was cheated by thousands of fake ballots." It's coming.
You can't compromise with crazy. It has to be stomped out. Nuking the filibuster and passing a voters rights bill is dangerous, given that a republican president+republican senate can simply repeal it with 51 votes one day. But it has to be done or what's the point of any of this.
