Just spent saturday watching this.

:gladbron::whoo:

Crazy shyt, some of it stretched believability, but fukk it worked for the most part. Its a show.

Very happy to see London represented well. To see Brehs who weren't cannon fodder and were smart and dangerous.

Was also pleasantly surprised with the amount of Kurd and Albanian stuff they put in.

Lol at the Nigerians bopping down the street with their choppers under their coats.

Yup, this show isn't perfect but what I like is the fact that it showed black gangsters who were intelligent, formidable, non stereotypical and respected across the board. Usually black criminals aren't shown as being intelligent on a level as everyone else in any way and they always play the background and get killed off like they were nothing. Plus it's portrayal of black love/relationships was also a surprise because British TV is notorious for showing anything but that.

Like I mentioned earlier in the thread, I like Top Boy, but it's the usual drug/street shyt we've seen countless times despite it's good storyline and social commentary. I've always said if you plan to remain in the criminal life where death or prison is possible coming anyway you might as well level up in the game and gain real power instead of still being on the corner slinging when you're in your 30s. I'd rather die over an empire than a fukking bag of weed.

With all the loose ends they've kept?

Elliot holding all the data on the investors, the Dumanis being in power now, Lale and Asir bound to continue their self destructive warpath, Floriana plotting her own vengeance with Finn's money and Billy vowing to kill Elliot if something happened to Sean.

The only reason I'd hate to see it is because this show completely fell apart after the fifth episode. First three awfully directed episodes by French hack Xavier Gens where they just rush through important plot points and then that final episode where people do all kinds of crazy dumb shyt with seemingly no consequences.

Sean and Lale blowing up a tower in the middle of the city of London without the city going into full lockdown and police being everywhere. :dead:

Lale and Sean killing the newly elected mayor of London. These two are full blown terrorists at this point and paired with Lale's background of supporting Kurd militants with drug money this really could spawn a British-Kurd conflict. :dead:

Shannon killing a cop in her own home too, particularly noteworthy because she got on her brother's case for merely keeping a gun on him for protection back in the first episode like 'Is this what you've become now?' :dead:

Nobody wearing gloves or masks or anything at any point either, DNA has to be on literally every scene if anyone bothered to do a proper investigation. :dead:

Hell, that government secret agency couldn't even find the tooth chip on Elliot and they had him in custody taking samples from his hair, skin, clothes, everything. :deadrose:
i think the nurse chick who was taking all the samples prob worked for them secret society nikkas and maybe purposely overlooked the tooth microchip thing :patrice:

Just finished the season. Overall it was good, 8/10.

Finn was stupid to try and disappear with all that bread, and f*ck over everybody he came up with. Honestly, he got that karma-in-advance.

Loved the Dumani's and how they were portrayed, well done.

Sean was ehh... but I guess that was the point. A lukewarm gangster gets a lukewarm ending. Although I didn't find it believable that Elliot would body Sean like that off the strength of that meeting with the investors. If anything take Sean and Alex into custody, and the Dumani daughter into protective custody and you roll the dice. Popping Sean seemed a little too impulsive for his character.

Lale should have slipped the knife into Asir's trachea when she saw him. Still a smooth kill of the son though. But why the new mayor of London with the drug dealing dad doesn't have any security?

The way Luan bodies those Nigerians :demonic:The fingers in the eye

Also how the f*ck is mom still breathing at the end? She caught a slug to the ribs did I miss something?

Just finished this season over the weekend, overall thought it was :ehh:

Watched it on AMC+ and it seems like they broke episode 1 into 2 episodes, giving the season a total of 10. While in the U.K. it was 9.

The incredibly violent action is definitely the highlight of the show, but some of the different gang maneuvers kept me entertained throughout. At first it was a lot to keep track of, but pretty much everything becomes clear by the end of the season.

Only thing I was expecting concerning Elliot was

I thought his motivation would be revealed to be more personal and that the Wallace family had a direct part in the death of his wife/child. I know he told Shannon it was a car accident, but I thought he might be lying. Yet, when speaking to Sean at the end he said it wasn't personal and was just tired of guys like him getting away with it :yeshrug:. Now he's trying to take down this Illuminati force of investors on his own :skip:

The best hand to hand action came early in the series, but the gunplay was the real :whoo: in terms of action.

C/S with Ep 5 being the highlight, some of the scenes they staged at the end there were :ohlawd:

I'm down for Season 2 whenever they are able to produce, although the fukkery level hints at going up.
