Anyone know what the Lannister army + their Bannerman soldier count at? What's Danny's forces at right now? Although I'm guessing more than half of her forces die during fighting the dead. Trying to see how much these 20,000 golden company men can swing the tides
IMO, it's impossible to say with any accuracy because I honestly don't believe even the showrunners know. They are just playing fast and loose with everything, and will come up with a random number to make it fit whatever plot they come up with for season 8. Trying to nail down a number seems like an exercise in futility, because they've made very little effort to address those kind of details.

Like, what the hell is the Dornish army doing? Are they still fighting for Dany?

How many Lannisters were killed in the ambush?

How many Tarly bannerman joined the Lannister side? How many died?

Were the people that pledged to Dany, lords or just random soldiers? If lords, were their armies absorbed into Dany's? How many?

I think the answer is simply, don't think about it. The Lannisters have less than Dany, and need a maguffin, aka the Golden Company to compete.

Cat was such a piece of shyt :scust:
Cat was even worse in the books breh. The show writers cooked up that scene to make her more sympathetic

Cat:pacspit:

For what it's worth, "casuals" can't follow the first 4 seasons either without the the help of book readers or online resources. Whenever I talk to someone who only watches the show I'm amazed by how much stuff they didn't catch. I'm like, how can you even enjoy the show if you're missing all this context and subtext?
Elephant in the room. Thats why you have this huge divide among fans this season.

The casual watchers were never paying that much attention in the first place. So saying you notice a clear drop off in writing gets met with "Y'all nikkas nitpicking:camby:Dragons fighting zombies and y'all mad????:gucci:"

Same nikkas that check their phone during the "boring" parts or pay attention to just enough to be able to discuss the show at work on Monday

The fact that HBO cut the scene where Sansa goes to Bran and he tells her everything about little finger has me :pacspit:

That needed to be seen. The whole "I'm a slow learner" b.s. was b.s. and they knew it.

When in reality the all seeing told her everything fukk sansa

They need to add that shyt to the deleted scenes on the bluray. Makes no sense why they would leave out such an important and short scene that is crucial to understanding the Winterfell finale scenes.
it would have ruined the twist at the trial. they wanted to bait us into thinking Sansa really was going at Arya

Cats really in here complaining about ice zombies getting in the way of the human element like the White Walkers popped up in "The Wire" or some shyt. :dahell:

Fred.

LOL people are mad that they got tricked into enjoying fantasy. Dragons, giants, magic, wargs and shyt was nerd stuff huh?

They act like it was bait n switch but then wasn't the first scene in season 1 like an ice zombie scene?

Yeah, the very first scene of the entire series.

Elia Martell was a dime, Lyanna should've been top tier too.

If she ever decided to act.

Yeah that's annoying, I would have wanted to see that scene. I mean I get that they wanted to keep some tension there but it would've made more narrative sense. The writers have really been :yeshrug:All season tho.

Also I've been re watching from the beginning and Dinklage really plays Tyrion with zero fukking swag these days. I get that he's been through a lot and is a more somber/reserved guy now but he used to be my favorite character and now he's just borderline trash. Watching the old eps I was like :ohhh: Oh yeah that's why I fukked with Tyrion in the first place. He wasn't always a stale faced little p*ssyboy.

This was in the script? What else did they cut?
