Maybe I'm wrong, but I took it to be the pie that was poisoned and maybe Oberyn had something to do with it, the camera filmed the pie strangely on first watch after he cut it.

I think it's the pie too, but I think it was the Martell's. Oberyn is too much of a G for poison, and as Littlefinger (I think) said in season one, poison is a woman's weapon.
