Balerion killing 4,000 men at the Field Of Fire

King Loren of the Rock had joined forces with King Mern of the Reach in an attempt to throw the invader back. Between the two kings they had roughly 55,000 men, of which 5,000 were mounted knights. Aegon had a fifth of that number, mostly conscripts from previous conquests. The two armies met on a field in the Reach.

Jon Mooton of Maidenpool, one of the first lords to come over to the Targaryens, was given command of the Targaryen army. The field which the battle was fought on was quite dry that day. The allies charged and started to break the Targaryen lines. But then all three Targaryen dragons took to the air and began to set the field aflame on all sides, especially downwind of the allies while Mooten was upwind. Of the allies, 4,000 died in the fire while 10,000 men suffered burns. Of the Targaryens less than 100 were lost while Visenya took an arrow to the shoulder.[2]

It was the only time in the conflict that all three of the Targaryen dragons took to the battlefield at the same time. Between Vhaghar, Meraxes and Balerion, they killed four thousand men outright, burning them alive. King Mern died, with him House Gardener. The army was broken and Aegon I was victorious

Titan of Braavos is a statue outside of (you guessed it) Braavos.

Braavos is in Essos and is where Syrio Forrel, Arya's Swordmaster, was from. Not saying this has anything to do with him, just giving you an idea of what we are talking about.

:ohhh: Isn't the dude that gave Arya 3 wishes in Season 2/Book 2 from Braavos?

Oh, and fun fact for the day, the head of the Titan of Braavos is the true sigil for House Baelish of the Fingers. See, house Baelish of the fingers was founded by Littlefinger's great grandfather who was nothing more than a common sellsword who made his way to the Vale and eventually was granted a few acres of cobblestone and a minor lordship. A few steps above Flea Bottom, yes, but still........ @Francis White why is your hero in denial of his own history :mjlol:

Why aint he rockin the Titan Sigil like an honorable great grandson should? Does he not realize the sperm that made him would probably have penetrated some bathhouse whore and spawned Petyr the b*stard has his great-grandfather not made a name for himself? Be in denial of yourself brehs:mjlol:

:ohhh:Is this place in Westeros?

It's not in Westeros, it's in Essos, the other major continent; for instance Dany has been in Essos since S1. The particular city is called Braavos, and you'll see it this season.

@Adam3000 already explained it I see...but yea, Syrio, Arya's "dancing" teaching, was from Braavos. Again, that is NOT an indicator of what you'll see this season or a spoiler, just pointing out he's from Braavos. So the folks you'll see in the city will talk like him (referring to themselves in first person, saying "just so" etc).
