excuse my ignorance but remind me who rhaegar and lyanna are again? i dont want to look it up b/c usually they give too much information if i search on google.

Lyanna Stark is Ned's sister. Rhaegar Targaryen is the son of Aerys Targaryen (the Mad King).

The show doesn't really go into details with the two so that's why you probably didn't keep their names in memory.

Lyanna was betrothed to King Robert but she got "kidnapped" by Rhaegar. Ned's older brother (Brandon) and some of his homies tried to call Rhaegar out but he was nowhere to be found and he got arrested by the Mad King instead for conspiracy. Ned's father was called down to witness Brandon's "charges" but they both ended up getting murked instead (very brutally).

The news gets to Ned and Robert and they all like So both call up their bannermen to end that nikka Aerys and Rhaegar and then save Lyanna. Lyanna ended up dying somehow, but she makes Ned keep a secret promise (which I personally think has to do with Jon Snow).

Rhaegar gets killed by Robert near a river during a battle. He hit dude so hard with his warhammer that jewels flew off that nikkas chest plate.

He was laid out in the river while peeps tried to snatch some of the jewelry in the stream.

My theory is that she was pregnant with Rhaegar's kid (Jon Snow) and I guess she went to Rhaegar to hide the pregnancy (the time elapsed since she's been "kidnapped" isn't disclosed in the book). But it's plausible since during that time she could have been kept safe somewhere by Rhaegar while Ned and Robert built up power for the rebellion.

Yeah, I'm still reading. I'm halfway through book 3. Didn't think I'd be through it so fast with how big the book is lol.

I'm reading through shyts , for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Also stopped my gaming to read more.

but yeah judging by what you said and what we seen, if Jon isn't Neds, it seems more likely that he is Rhagars rather than Roberts.

Breh, more piff is to come...sooooo much shyt happens in book 5 its not even funny...book 4 was meh but it gave alot of insight on Cersei and Jaime (who through book 4 became prolly my favorite POV next to Tyrion).
