Jon has either Tangeryan or Baratheon blood. I'm guessing Robert knocked up a Tangerayan and they wanna keep it a secret so the lannisters dont go after Jon.

It makes more sense Jon is of Targaryen blood. It also seems Ned tried to tell Robert in the show that even though he was betrothed to Lyanna he did not know her all that well. I have no doubt that she was fukkin' Rhaegar on the side and got pregnant with Jon. Robert had a blood lust against Targaryens, because he thought Rhaegar kidnapped raped and murdered Ned's sister.

Then he goes on a genocide scheme to wipe out Targaryens when he takes the throne. Sending assassins after Viserys and Dany. After the whole incident with Rhaegar's wife and kid being brutally murdered during the Usurper war and Robert turning a blind eye on it, I think Ned find out about Jon Snow and decided to protect him from Robert.

i've always thought that the characters on the boundaries right now (jon and dany and bran) would eventually come to the center and become the main part of the storyline by season 4.

i doubt it's robert's kid. remember that scene with robert and ned talking and robert was asking who the mother of his b*stard was? i think it makes more sense that jon would be the son of rhaegar and lyanna (if it's not ned's kid).

Yup, would make more sense. I still hope he IS Ned's kid though, and maybe his mom isn't some common whore but was somehow Targareyan, which is why Ned didn't wanna discuss her with Robert. Jon being the b*stard son of the honorable Ned Stark is one of the driving forces behind his character imo, and it juxtapositions him with Robb and his other half siblings.
