Good discussion?
Breh you in here whining about how they deviating from the source material but you haven't READ the source material.
You don't even understand the depth required for the writing to be on par with the earlier seasons. Because you haven't read it the books.
The world building intricacies you can get into when GRRM been writing a series for over twenty years and have used well over a million words are a different league. You can't even blame D and D for fukking up with less time than Martin and a need to film.
The high quality writing came from the books. Yet y'all in here whining about the show runners script. But y'all can't even present ideas that everyone would like for the show. And those ideas wouldn't even match thematically with what the series is gonna be.
So you sir. Need to cut out the goofy shyt.
I don't know who you got me confused with but I never complained that they deviated from the source material.
I said GRR Martin complained that they deviated from the source material. I said his editor complained that they deviated from the source material.
So what are you talking about?
The logic in your post is faulty as fukk. You could not even know the books exist, and know the writing from earlier seasons vs something like "Beyond The Wall" is a significant drop in quality.
By your logic nobody should've notice any show falling off, because they don't have books to compare it to.
And

at "you can't present ideas everyone would like"....I'm not a writer. That's like saying nobody should criticize a QB, we ain't in the NFL. You'd get laughed out of the fukking room for suggesting something like that.
It's like....what the hell are you even talking about right now?
All I see is the same handful of people crying about "b bu but if you guys want to criticize the show, stop watching" when a far simpler solution would be if you're tired of people criticizing the show, don't read those posts.
Fred.
