I think Dany is getting a bum rap and I mainly blame it on the show runners for various reasons. I’m Wolfgang Starkset all day, but I think all her feelings and frustrations are justified.

1. She has been failed by her advisors costing her two dragons and half her army when she had a chance to easily defeat Cersei last season.

2. She marched with Jon to save those ungrateful hillbillies in the north and after helping save them, they don’t even want to seat with her in the cafeteria.

3. In the process of helping save their asses, she finds out that not only is her lover in actuality her nephew, but he has a better claim to the North.

4. All the while she has to deal with passive aggressive bytchy attitude from Sansa.

What’s a girl to do, but go full Tupac on death row and drop ‘Hit em up’?

I agree with most of your points except Rhaegal getting killed was totally Dany's fault. Jon even said Rhaegal needed time to heal when they asked if he would be riding him to KL. I'm curious to see his reaction when he finds out Rhaegal is dead.

My other problem with Dany is she's too power hungry and it's gonna be her downfall. She could easily have the life she wants with Jon if she sat back and let him have the throne.

Easier to manipulate? What have they manipulated him to do?

Outside roasting Tarlys, the Dragonwhore has followed their every command. :stopitslime:

Taken on =/= followed

Hell even Varys said to Tyrion that he's shook of Dany :mjlol: So the man hiding in the crypts with the women and children defo is too

They can't manipulate him to do things just yet because he's not in a strong enough spot, but best believe that if Dany dies, Sansa is gonna get Jon to give Northern independence. Hell what's the benefit of her telling Tyrion Jon's the heir, shyt's basically treason

TYRONE GA!
Honestly, from what I’ve read GRRM doesn’t have as much say over what’s happening as he used to. This is all on the show runners.

all he gave them was an outline of the events he was planning. D&D then had the freedom to fill shyt in with that outline, hence the fukkery. :yeshrug:

Fam the thread is full of good discussion, if all you have to contribute is editing posts on some corn ball shyt I can just ban you from the thread. :manny:

Cut the goofy shyt out.

Fred.
Good discussion?

Breh you in here whining about how they deviating from the source material but you haven't READ the source material.

You don't even understand the depth required for the writing to be on par with the earlier seasons. Because you haven't read it the books.

The world building intricacies you can get into when GRRM been writing a series for over twenty years and have used well over a million words are a different league. You can't even blame D and D for fukking up with less time than Martin and a need to film.

The high quality writing came from the books. Yet y'all in here whining about the show runners script. But y'all can't even present ideas that everyone would like for the show. And those ideas wouldn't even match thematically with what the series is gonna be.

So you sir. Need to cut out the goofy shyt.

CAN SOMEONE EXPLAIN THE SIGNIFICANCE
OF THE LORD OF LIGHT?

CAN SOMEONE EXPLAIN
THE SWIRLING SYMBOL THE WW MADE IN THE SNOW
AND ALSO MADE WITH THE ARMS
OF THEIR VICTIMS IN THAT ONE SCENE?

YOU KNOW THE SYMBOL THAT WAS SHOWN
A FEW TIMES THROUGHOUT THE SERIES.

ALSO...

CAN SOMEONE EXPLAIN TO ME
WHY IT BEGAN TO SNOW IN KL
AT THE END OF SEASON 7
AND NOW IT NEVER HAPPENED?

THX IN ADVANCE.

"One of the reason we decided to put the Battle of Winterfell first was because we had to make sure the audience knew the real battle was always about the Throne. They needed to survive the dead, at a great cost, but they had to stop it in it's tracks. The WW threat is stopped so suddenly we don't get every answer about them. We leave that to audience to figure it out ".

"When we get back to King's Landing we see that it's not snowing anymore. That's because the threat of the White Walkers and the Long Night has been erased. At the end of last season we needed to show something that demonstrated that this threat was not only coming, but it was finally here. No that it isn't there, King's Landing is still not as sunny as before, but winter has retreated for a bit".

I don't know who you got me confused with but I never complained that they deviated from the source material.

I said GRR Martin complained that they deviated from the source material. I said his editor complained that they deviated from the source material.

So what are you talking about?

The logic in your post is faulty as fukk. You could not even know the books exist, and know the writing from earlier seasons vs something like "Beyond The Wall" is a significant drop in quality.

By your logic nobody should've notice any show falling off, because they don't have books to compare it to. :what:

And :dahell: at "you can't present ideas everyone would like"....I'm not a writer. That's like saying nobody should criticize a QB, we ain't in the NFL. You'd get laughed out of the fukking room for suggesting something like that.

It's like....what the hell are you even talking about right now?

All I see is the same handful of people crying about "b bu but if you guys want to criticize the show, stop watching" when a far simpler solution would be if you're tired of people criticizing the show, don't read those posts.

She's been fighting and struggling for the throne all this time and you want her to just give it up based on something she just learned days ago.

Give up your lifelong goals to a man with no ambition:francis:

Jon's the one who should step back and let her have the throne.

I recommend the audio books for anybody who hasn't read the books yet. I listen to them on the train while playing mindless games like candy crush or while driving if I'm alone in the car. It flies by and feels like you listening to podcasts. You can easily find them for free nowadays too.

I don't blame her for not wanting to swallow the pill of giving up the objective she's chased her whole life.

Her fatal flaw is the paranoia that's come from finding out about snow mans lineage. There was no excuse to rush into a confrontation with Cersei, letting Rhaegal and the remaining Dothraki, Unsullied, and Northmen heal up was the clear decision to make. She's so worried about that news coming to the light she feels like she has to make shyt happen asap and it backfired.
