Neither of those dragons even reacted to the shots being fired being wounded had nothing to do with rhaegal dying

how Rhaegal died was some bullshyt. being so high in the air, they should have been able to see the ships first. then how do you hit a moving target, so far away, from a boat that's rocking around in the water... three times in a row. but then everyone miss Drogon making a straight charge

not to mention most ballistics, besides a damn rocket, wouldn't have much power at that distance

Now that I thought about it, what should've happened was

When Jon and Dany decided to sit down with Cersei to discuss taking on the Night King, it should've been a trick and for a way to take out Cersei and take over her armies to use against the Night King.

It would've stayed within the spirit of the show and served the plot.

why do you guys keep bringing book shyt into the show...8 years later. you know they cut out a lot of stuff from the books, this is who he backed IN THE SHOW (the half assed assassination attempt was an attempt to CYA) and who he's been working with for years. varys has no power, he got his power from being on the small council, he no longer has spies in KL, there is nothing he could be doing in KL these years he's been with dany. furthermore, if he's backing dany, what exactly should he have done, pulled a US military move and taken out a dictator with no replacement? let mass anarchy rule?

i'm not getting your beef here at all. if his plan was to install a targ kid, he goes to clique up with said targ kid and roll with her back to westeros....who exactly should he have been fighting for in the interim?

I’m bringing up I read the books because for your last 2 posts you’re attempting to give me a rundown on shyt from season 1 that’s common knowledge right now. Spare me that. I already know the Illyrio/Varys/Targaryen plot.

He could’ve easily backed Ned on the council if he was truly about the realm. But he didn’t. Again out of Varys own mouth he’s not loyal to anyone but the people. He don’t care about Dany.

My beef is that (for the 4th time) Varys is full of shyt. If he was so concerned about the realm Cersei would be gone long ago. If u want to use the “what could he have done in Essos” argument then my rebuttal is well what did he do about the Lannisters when he was in KL?

What things have disturbed him from Dany? Dany came thru with her dragons and army and was a major catalyst in the victory against the White Walkers and she seems perturbed that Jon is getting the accolades while her contributions are a footnote. That’s disturbing? Ungrateful Sansa still doesn’t trust her after sacrificing so much and a co-sign from Jon/Aegon. Dany even toasted up to Arya and called her the hero of Winterfell at the banquet in the last episode. I get it the writers are trying to make her out as a mad queen but I don’t see it. She lost 2 dragons and her closest advisor fukking around with the North (listening to Varys and Tyrion).

I don’t know if he gets credit for that meeting. But if u want to give it to him, what came of it? Olenna told Dany to stop listening to Tyrion/Varys and “Be a dragon”. And if Dany would’ve listened to her instead of Varys/Tyrion she’d be on the Iron Throne right now.
