Season 7 made me appreciate season 5. Season 5 still felt like thrones outside of the Dorne disaster but 7 felt like an entirely different show. The writing was poor, the plots were poor, and the show became more production value than story. I feared this would happen when the show became less about politics and more about fantasy.Did a binge leading up to this season (saving the season 7 finale for Saturday/Sunday) and the drop off in quality is extremely apparent when you're watching it back to back.
It's kinda crazy cuz there are amazing fight scenes dope storylines but then there's so many dumb networkish shyt. From Ed Sheanen (or whatever his name is), to putting characters in positions they should die only to have them survive cuz they're not ready to die (a pure desperate attempt at generating awe), to a level of corniness with some of the character reunions as well as our favorite characters meeting for the first time. A whole lot of fan service. It's like a completely different crew made season seven.
#StanninSetwasn't funny 3 seasons ago and not now
#TheonSet rejoice!Regarding the final episode, co-creator David Benioff told Entertainment Weekly:
“I plan to be very drunk, and very far from the internet.”
What if the plot twist is since Theon has no penis he can't be turned into White Walker and he kills a surprised Night's King#TheonSet rejoice!
Of course there was a consequence to Cersai blowing up the crypt. Her only remaining child killed himself. Also having to go to the extreme measure of blowing up the crypt was basically her previous scheming against margary blowing up in her face. This was very consistent with Cersais character throughout the show: She thinks she is a master strategist, but in reality, everything she does leads to catastrophy, because her actions are mainly motivated by spite and fear and she is only half as smart as she thinks she is.

Theonset might really win this

Yet to see a single episode
Promo for this has been ridiculous.
Commercials damn near every channel. Seemingly every sports show making references. I'm seein billboards while driving. Went to AT&T, forgot they bought HBO, and their whole store look like a GoT set .
Got the food menu set up for tomorrow
