Remember the Battle Of The b*stards?

Pretty much the biggest battle scene in Game Of Thrones to date, the Season 6 sequence was one of those unforgettably epic moments in a show pretty much drowning in them.

Not unlike that bit where Jon is almost drowning in a sea of dead bodies, actually...

Well, you can forget all about that now, because with an upcoming battle for the eighth and final season, it took 55 days to film, more than doubling the amount of time it took to film the Battle Of The b*stards, to become a new record setter.

Let’s hope this is much better than season 7

Season 7 felt like it just shouldnt have existed, but they had to make a bridge between the GOAT season 6 and the likely GOATness that will be. I dont envy any writer who has to come up with a way to link up all those characters without any source material in a span of what, 1-2 years? And they were already burnt out going into that season. I guess you can give some respect to GRRM for creating such an airtight, original piece.

Not excusing the lapse in logic and deviations from what made the series good either btw...I just have come to understand the sacrifice that had to be taken. At least they knew what it was gonna be and didnt try to make it another 10 episode szn, THAT wouldve been a L
