If both the last two seasons had ten episodes, that would have resulted in seven more eps total. That alone would have probably fixed the show, even if many of the same decisions were made. Extra eps could have prevented some other dumb shyt, like a dragon randomly being murked by pirates lmao. They sped up the show, resulting in a lot of dumb shyt happening to quickly resolve plots. The Long Night seemed like...one night. And it looked like only the north was dark, instead of the entire planet.
