I agree, however, in college one of my professors had us read a book called "The Innovators Solution" which is one of the best business books ever written. It's all about how to disrupt an established business and eat good off a fraction of its customers. FS1 is fine just taking a slice of the ESPN pie.
Not if they're losing to Teen Nick in the ratings.:russ:

FS1 is still struggle city though, they're taking talent but ESPN is still #1 by a huge margin. All FS1 is doing is shelling out a ton of money without seeing any results.

what you're not grasping is that they don't need anywhere close to the audience of ESPN. Any extra hit of the market FS1 delivers will hurt ESPN. ESPN has everything yet they're still in a kinda financial crisis because of all the money they have shelled out to leagues. Trust me, they didn't want to see all this talent leave but they couldn't afford to keep everybody. Their hands were tied.

Social media killing Sportscenter hurt them a lot. Watching Sportscenter is pointless AND the league networks are top notch (NBA, MLB, and NFL networks) ....I don't watch hockey so idk how the NHL network is :pachaha:

What you're not grasping is no matter how many people they sign their ratings are still in the shytter. Skip is their last chance at having any kind of relevancy, he was by far their most expensive signing and if he flames out it's over. ESPN got greedy and added a bunch of useless shyt to their financial portfolio, cutting back actually brings them back to normalcy. You say watching SC is pointless yet it's still a high rated show, and it's still the go to for sports junkies.

Tv Ratings are slowly fading away in importance though. It's gonna start being more about online views apps etc

End of the day they have a higher threshold to hit. They can't afford to lose any viewership and if Skip show eats into First Take then this will be another hit for them.

He got tired of being reeled in when discussing certain athletes, and when discussing certain issues on domestic violence and such, truth be told skips relationship soured with ESPN going to bat for Stephen a as skip was the savy one to never go too far...Skip must look at Stephen with scust as he sold his soul for that paper to be tap dancing for espn, when Stephen a was getting suspended, castrated, skipping shows acting like he was trying leave shyting on ESPN and plugging his new radio show

At least he smart to debut during football season FS1 should've did same with that Cowherd/Whitlock show and built up a block of shows. At least we know Skip won't get cut off early for NASCAR practices or dumped on to FS2 on Tuesday and Thursday for Soccer.
