He completed nearly 4 years of his 5 year contract. People outgrow relationships it happens. Doesn't mean you have to be a robot and non-emotional about it. It's not mutually exclusive.
I've worked a job with people I dislike. I'm sure almost everyone has. Co-workers are simply people you meet and interact with because you share a common employer. That's not really a relationship at best it's an acquaintance of circumstance.

When I see a person literally fleeing a contracted job because they can't stand a co-worker so much they had to leave that says all that needs to be said. People say a lot of stuff out of their mouths but their actual actions are what I judge them by. His actions speak louder than anything he could ever say about Skip.

For all that puffery on TV I bet like SAS and Skip Shannon probably doesn't even interact with that guy much or at all after leaving. SAS admitted he hasn't even spoken to Bayless in many years on his YouTube show.

fukk shedding tears over a piece of shyt that took personal shots at me on TV to defend some man he probably doesn't even know personally.

You’re still overlooking the important point that you can still appreciate what someone has done to help your career even if you don’t fukk with them like that.

You bring up SAS as your point but overlook he has said on more than one occasion how much Skip helped put him back on after he got fired years ago and did a lot to help him in his career. He was genuinely upset that Skip took offense to what he said and met up with him personally to hash it out.

The fact that they haven’t talked in years doesn’t change that point.

When they said Shannon would leave after the finals I didn't expect it to literally be the day after the last game was played :gucci:

Imma miss this show a lot. I was a regular viewer :mjcry:
Nah, I came in expecting him to be ghost right afterwards. This wasn't like a typical two week notice. He was under contract, and they had to set a drop dead date of when he was gonna be out. I think the end of the finals made perfect sense; not much else going on besides the NBA draft, and it's not like they would talk about that anyway.

Not really. More often than not, they will negotiate for you to finish up any duties for which they don’t have a replacement. It was likely in the terms of his separation agreement. I write that sort of winding up of duties into contracts all the time.
It depends on the company, how you are leaving and if they already have someone lined up to handle your duties. From my experience from departing an employer, one gave me 90 days (reduction of working force), another one wanted me to leave immediately (gave them my two weeks notice/mutually agreed to part that day) while my last job let me do my last two weeks before I join my current company. Some companies want people who are leaving to be gone ASAP regardless of the circumstances while some will work with them until the last day. Since Shannon has a major impact on the show, they probably wanted him to stay until the finals because that the last main sporting events for the next few months.

That's more than likely what the case was with this one. Get through the NBA Finals and they have a couple of months to see who ESPN lays off and test run a few guys to see if they can fill the spot.

This may have something to do with Shannon leaving.
After fox recent defamation case this might have caused execs to ask certain tough questions.
