Yea but floyd would still be favored against any one. He is still the best fighter on the planet. Him at 40 is no where close to couture at 47.
This whole thing dont make sense breh. Its all about the money. McGregor has never fought profesionally. Floyd has spent a lifetime perfecting his craft in boxing. Why not meet in the middle at a kick boxing match. Thats the most fair imo. I would probably still favor floyd too.
Stop talking. Listen. You obviously don't understand sports. So what if Floyd would be the favorite. What's the difference between a boxer into an MMA match or an MMA fighter enter a boxing ring. One fighter is going to be at a disadvantage right, but MMA fighters have to train boxing anyway as apart of MMA. Boxers don't have to train grappling. So it's more of an even match right.
randy couture was still competitive in the UFC, his fight after James Toney was against Machida lol, if he would've won he would've had a title shot.
James Toney couldn't even make money in boxing anymore. Which is why he did the match in the first place, and he didn't even train. Look at his physique and look at randy who was probably on riods or TRT and you can see who is in better shape.
Conor Mcgregor has experience boxing. Floyd has no experience kick boxing. They are two different sports with different rules it's not boxing with kicks like the name would imply. When MMA fighters go to kick boxing and vice versa, nobody says it's not fair for the kick boxer to fight an MMA fighter, or it's not fair for an MMA fighter to compete in kickboxer. Overeem has defeated some of the biggest names in kick boxing and MMA.
Floyd Mayweather is the bigger name he's not broke, he's the A side, if Conor wants to make the most money he will ever make, he will box floyd lol, it's just that simple.
The situation is not comparable to James Toney who was 160 in his prime or the fact Ray Mercer was 50 years old when he went he fought former UFC champion Tim Sylvia in an MMA match.
Plenty of boxers have got in the cage already and didn't get a boxing match as a straw match, so that argument is just dumb.
