I paid $100 to watch Manny swing at the wind while Floyd danced the square and people talking about some muhfukkin' science. I just wanna see good fighting. If it's someone getting knocked out, cool. If it's someone totally outclassing their opponent, great. If it's two dudes that threw caution to the wind on some Ward/Gatti shyt, even better.

i think it's also a matter of continuing to get the word out and pump this up. it's not being talked about beginning this week as much as i anticipated, or maybe i'm not watching/listening to the right stuff.....or maybe the huge push will come next week.

but definitely...$50????? shyt is chump change for an event of this caliber nowadays compared to other boxing events. how much is a UFC or WWE ppv? i think the price will also heavily contribute to my prediction of over 500K buys.

I paid for both of them...and the reason why was the #1 P4P fighter on the planet was the headliner of both cards. Of course, that's an automatic purchase for me, just in case there's an upset


Yes, current #1 P4P Gonzalez is on the GGG vs Lemieux card, but he's the size of an elementary school student....I don't fukk with fighters that small (and the more that I think about it, anything under Featherweight is status for me too)


So, with that being said, me paying $50 to watch GGG, who's as high as a 20-1 favorite over Lemieux (who we all expect GGG to KO) is not worth the price imo. Should've been on HBO Championship Boxing where a pay my subscription for every month.

This is a mismatch, and the only saving grace anyone ever says is "but Lemieux has a Championship". So what, still doesn't mean it should've been on PPV. Could've been on cable like Kovalev vs Hopkins was (Kovalev was only as high as a 3/1 favorite over Hopkins) .


Even when Floyd fought Maidana the 1st time, he was still lower with his high as a 14-1 favorite over Maidana...while GGG opened at 20-1 over Lemieux

i bought cotto-martinez too...but yeah hes using the reason on floyd being p4p as an excuse for buying his ppvs...thats not sound at all ..i bought floyd-canelo for garcia-matthysse and king carlos going for a title on top of the main event not offending me...unlike the floyd-maidana cards where the main event was fine with me from jump but the undercards were some of al's bullshyt...buying a ppv based on 1 fighter only is stan behavior

Also, you keep saying that about the undercards, but I enjoyed Floyd Mayweather's performance MUCH more than anyone else's on that card. It was pure Boxing brilliance. I don't know what you were watching, but I was watching a Technical Wizard show his elite abilities for (supposedly) the final time....and thoroughly enjoyed it
