They’ve put themselves in quite a a bind with this one.
Bloated budget and diminishing returns makes Universal to move forward with the last film and you can’t reboot it without giving closure as that would piss people off even more and make that film DOA.
If they were going to go the cliffhanger route, then they should have reigned in Vin’s ego and filmed it all back to back.

I guess Hollywood forgot how to do Two Part Movies especially in 2023. This movie, Spider-Verse, and Mission Impossible all had Part 1 movies in the same year and the Part 2 has taken forever to come out for all three of them

SO I GUESS EVERYBODY THOUGHT
THEY COULD FOLLOW THE SAME BLUEPRINT GOING FORWARD

Infinity War and Endgame were filmed back to back. Matrix Reloaded and Revolutions were also filmed back to back. Kill Bill was shot as a single film and edited into two films. Why they didn't do that for Fast X is beyond me especially with Budget.

They literally put half a movie out without any work being done for Part 2. I guess studios haven't learned from the Divergent series
