I can’t believe people actually questioned whether the F&F crew could take out Thanos. By the end of the first movie Dom would be giving Thanos a firm handshake & a stern look in the eye, and sending him on the right path in life.
I wouldn’t say it’s “shameful” per say. The only people who have love interests in the saga are the TWO couple’s who were love interests in the very first movie (Dom/Letty and Brian/Mia) oh and you can count Han/Giselle but then she died. Its not like either Tej or Roman are written as eunuchs. Rome had a plane full of women in Fast 6 and Tej was messing with that asian chick in 2 Fast.
These movies already are stuffed with subplots.
But I know at the end of Fast 8 both Tej and Rome expressed interest in Ramsay and she was quizzing them on who actually knew anything about her. So I expected them to follow up on that in F9 but in a few scenes I felt like they were hinting that Tej and Ramsay were already together

I agree that in Furious 7 they teased Ramsey hooking up with one of them, but in the last 2 movies the only purpose of Tej/Ramsey/Roman is comic relief. The only reason why it seems like Tej is closer to Ramsey is because they team up and joke on Roman, who's funnier as the butt of their jokes.
Truth be told I think Diesel has a big part in making these movies now, and he has no interest in Tej and Ramsey being a couple or Roman having a life outside of the family. He only wants Dom to get more screen time.
Overall I really enjoyed the movie. I WILL say one thing that brought it down for me was
Han’s resurrection. The way it was explained was just TOO silly for me and didn’t make much sense. I’m a fan of the Han character but the way they explained his absence was too much even for these movies. The “Deus Ex Nobody” shyt is getting played out. So Han is just chilling, fukking around with High School kids making easy money and then Nobody shows up and convinces Han to work with him simply because Giselle did once? Giselle never even mentioned Nobody to Han so whatever work they did obviously wasn’t THAT important. And Han never seemed like the type of character to just LEAVE his little homie Sean to deal with the bullshyt Han started in Tokyo Drift. Sean could have been killed dealing with those Japanese gangsters and just left him and Twinkie to clean that shyt up on some. And how the fukk would Nobody and Han know that Shaw was going to come after Han? Nome of that made any sense whatsoever and I was ALMOST shocked at how lazy the writing was for resurrecting one or the franchises most beloved characters
Another thing that slightly irks me is that the Government STAYS coming to Dom and crew for these death defying issues and NEVER pays them I know they got pardons in Fast 7 but that was two movies ago. What nikkas is running around working for the Government taking down international terrorists and super spies for NO paper
Other than that I can forgive this movie and enjoy it for what it is. Mindless action. I lowkey loved seeing the Tokyo Drift crew back in action and Tej and Roman in space was surprisingly effective for the bit of levity they gave it (“two brothers from the hood. Now we in space” I felt that shyt)
I also felt that John Cena’s casting was spot on.
I’d rate this one slightly below Fate Of The Furious because honestly I thought F8 had a better third act finale.
That mid credits scene was AWESOME ny the way. Justice For Han indeed

Han was a millionaire out there stealing money from Yakuza for no reason. They could've put that into the subplot, but completely ignored it. They act like the shyt didn't clearly show Han stuck in the car before it blew. I don't blame it on Justin Lin though, the fast 8 writer fukked it up big time. Killed Han but at the family bbq.
