Where do ya see The Rock down playing his blackness?

You gonna be waitin' forever for that answer, it's just a TSC myth that no one can ever point to evidence of.

nikkas: "Rock doesn't acknowledge his Black side"
Rock: has ONE Black relative that wrestled and mentions him all the time.
nikkas: "bbbbut he acknowledges his Samoan side more"
Rock: Has like 20-30 MFs on that side that have wrestled. 20-30 is definitely a higher number than ONE.
nikkas: "bbbut the only reason he got pushed is he's a 2nd generation star"
Some Of Us: *remembers NUMEROUS 2nd generation stars that didn't do shyt in WWF/E or anywhere else, some of whom are on the roster RIGHT NOW*

I feel like this Kofi thing could go either way. On the one hand, Kofi was never supposed to be involved in the match at all, and thus, was never to be involved in whatever plans they had for Mania. What those plans are/were, we don't know. That said, the company has a plan and we know Vince doesn't like to deviate from that plan around Mania season. See: the way they're moving heaven and Earth to still involve Charlotte in the women's match or everything with Roman the last few Manias.

On the flip, WWE has been showing an uncharacteristic willingness to go with what the fans want lately. Noting the women's match again, they tripped into Becky and more or less have just shrugged and said "Alright. Why the fukk not?" Plus we got the women's tag titles finally, and Finn Balor has been getting a push. Hell, R. Truth won his first title in idk how many years likely because people really like that dance break thing. The big story coming out of EC was definitely Kofi, so we can only hope some of that got through to Vince & co and convinced them to alter their plans.

Rey will probably be facing Almas on the WM preshow
You really think they're going to drag the Almas thing out all the way to Mania? I feel like that's done at Fastlane if not an episode of Smackdown. It just screams "filler feud until we can do what we want with Rey later" to me.

Only way I see it going to Mania is if they get the US Title involved.

It sure doesn't seem to me like there's a plan for like.....80% of the roster this year. Almost every angle seemed to wrap up at the Rumble and no new ones have been started since. The reports before EC were that there still wasn't a decision on who Bryan was going to face at WM.

True. However, I remember it being like that last Mania too. We had Asuka v Charlotte and Styles v Nak confirmed at the Rumble with everyone knowing for a fact Roman v Lesnar would close the show. Beyond that, it felt like most of the card was put together in the last month before the event. This year they're in same spot except now they don't even have a confirmed WWE Title match.

The Rey thing is more a hunch than any rumor or anything. I'm happy to be wrong here.

Damn for a moment it seemed like Kofi was really gonna do it :wow:

Should’ve had Kofi win here and run it back at Wrestlemania:yeshrug:

Would be the best possible match because there aren’t really any viable contenders left
You weren't the only one. The whole crowd was fully invested in him during that match. Kofi restored the feeling :wow:

There are too many upper card guys with nothing to do

Orton, AJ, Joe, Balor, Lashley, Drew, Nakamura, Ziggler, Ambrose, Elias, Almas, Rey, Rusev, Strowman all have nothing set up. Then you have the tag divisions on both show. IC/US titles have nothing going on. Murphy has run through the entire 205 roster. Asuka is the champ of SD and the only other stars of her division are feuding for the Raw title. Now there's a women's tag titles but only 3 actual teams between both rosters.

And this isn't taking into consideration if they're going to get Cena/HHH/Taker on the card.

My guess is both US and IC titles are going to get 4-8 man gimmick matches, all the tag titles will be scrambles, Cruiserweight will probably be a gauntlet.

To me, the reason it feels like this right now is cause they still got a whole nother PPV happening in 3 weeks, which to me is unnecessary. Not sure why they think there needs to be TWO PPVs between Rumble and Mania. It'll probably be more clear after Fastlane, but that only leaves 4 weeks to head towards Mania, when the 6-week build has always done better.

Is Harper healthy? If so just add him with Bryan’s eco squad and have them vs. New Day at Fastlane. If New Day wins, Kofi gets the one on one match he hasn’t had yet. If Bryan’s team wins, New Day disbands :manny:
That’s a dope way to involve all of them and keep the momentum going. I still think kofi is facing Ali for that shot. However I must say Ali is not ready to be in that spot at mania he can do a lot of flips but he has yet to find that personality. This kofi shyt is a layup,

:obama: I like it.

If Harper isn't healthy, they can put *checks roster* Lars Sullivan? in that last spot.

To me, it always seemed like they were just looking to make Ali a force while not necessarily making him champ. Get people to care and used to the idea that he could be WWE Champion, but then hold off until he was ready. No way was he going to be the challenger going into Mania.

Yea I always thought it was Bryan hand picking his opponents on smack down. I never really saw it as a big push.

New Day doesn’t need to disband in any way. They’re hugely popular due to their support for each other, and the WWE is a total failure when it comes to breaking up stables/teams unless you’re the Shield (see: Prime Time Players, Cryme Time)
