Great fukking movie. Everyone involved killed it and I'm glad I saw it. Would love if we get could these type of flicks in the theaters again, but such is the landscape we're in right now. The acting was on point, the writing was beautiful, and it even made me tear up a bit. Funny, insightful, heartfelt, and enlightening. Can't ask for more from a movie. Hopefully it maintains its buzz and cleans up some awards but also won't be surprised if it doesn't because it's not Netflix's big fish this season

It's not about "let" as much as its how much Netflix wants to push them and how big the campaign is for all three. You only have but so much money so I doubt they're going to make the push for all three of them. If Eddie gets in, which I doubt (and not because of his performance) then it will be because the people who saw it really fukked with it and believe he should be nominated.

Eddie has the “comeback” angle. Hollywood LOVES a comeback.
Eddie also will be returning to standup with a NETFLIX special. Netflix would LOVE to put “Academy Award Winning” next to Eddie’s name when that special premieres
Man I thoroughly enjoyed this. Only thing is Netflix should have secured the other movies because I'm gonna watch the first one on Amazon tomorrow.

Just finished watching this and really enjoyed it 
I heard the name Dolemite growing up, but never saw any of the movies. Learning about how his story and how he kept hustling
to break into different avenues was really inspiring. Eddie does a great job in making him someone you to root for and he seemed like a good dude to have his people's backs 
.
Didn't realize how much he inspired like the Black Dynamite elements mentioned a couple pgs back or some of the Aries Spears sketches on MadTV.

Loved it! I did think it could've been a tad shorter but they balanced the story well and gave you enough insight in Rudy and co while still being a light-hearted comedy about their path to success. Eddie was great, even though he never quite got Rudy right he just gave it his all and still had you believe in it. Wesley as many have said stole this flick with ease. He was absolutely hilarious and this moment right here might've been my absolute favorite.
