Hamilton is the best shyt eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeever.

I saw it Denver a couple years ago, and it floored. I expected it to be the best stage show I'd ever seen and I was STILL stunned by how great it was. This DIsney version is pretty fukking great too. The editing and camera work makes it different and dynamic enough to differentiate it from other filmed stage productions. They're helped by the fact that the real star of Hamilton is the music and the performances more than the choreography and staging.

So yeah, if you've never seen or somehow even HEARD Hamilton, this is the best way to introduce yourself.

My only problem so far is that I’ve heard the album and seen clips on YouTube but here it seems like they are saying the lines slower.

I don't think so. The cast album is 2hr25m...this is 2:40. The opening moments, intermission and a few beats between songs and scenes, 8 minutes of credits...

The music is identical. There are a few different iterations and flourishes within the songs compared to the cast album, which is expected. Every live performance is marginally different.

Maybe I’m just used to the recorded voices versus the live singing and rapping with emotions and voice inflections.
