Jasmine looks ugly
And Genie...looks like Will Smith with a top knot..


The article says the final look for Will’s genie isn’t complete yet so we’ll see

I don’t know what ya were expecting, definitely didn’t think Will Smith was gonna be a voice and nothing more.

Aladdin and Jasmine look great, genie looks good too, but we still gotta see the end product.

Edit- I have a feeling they will only show genie as will smith during a flashback scene to show how he looked before someone cursed him and turned him into a genie.

There’s a CG version of him they’ll use. Article says it’s not done yet but there will still be shots of will looking like will.

I mean if they're going for a shot-to-shot remake like they've been doing in other remakes, made more sense to have Will as a voice over an actual person, with all the extravagant shyt Genie did in the cartoon.

I think they all differ on whether they’ll be a paintstaking recreations tho. Jungle book definitely deferred from the animated movie and had more in line with the book. Cinderella has differences also. Beauty and the beast for the most part was a carbon copy. I think they’re giving each director a little leeway on how much they stick to the cartoon
