Since this is the official thread I'll say it again. How in the fukk deb don't remember that EXACT set up of the kill room. When she was the one in plastic with dex and Brian holding the knife 6 inches from her chest. Come on writers. It's like they forget their own show. Mother fukker....it's the first 2 minutes of the season.
Besides getting over the shock of seeing that her brother is killing someone and needing time to process that and not IMMEDIATELY thinking of something that happened to her, storyline wise, 5-6 years ago, the season is set to reference BHB from LaGuerta's side at the bare minimum....I think I can say with some confidence that will have a few moments where Deb will have a flashback or two somewhere between the rest of this first episode and all 11 of the others in the season.

Besides getting over the shock of seeing that her brother is killing someone and needing time to process that and not IMMEDIATELY thinking of something that happened to her, storyline wise, 5-6 years ago, the season is set to reference BHB from LaGuerta's side at the bare minimum....I think I can say with some confidence that will have a few moments where Deb will have a flashback or two somewhere between the rest of this first episode and all 11 of the others in the season.
i don't give a fukk if it was the first 30 seconds... if you EVER in your life was kidnapped by your girlfriend, wrapped in plastic and then woke up with your sister and your girlfriend holding a knife over your chest....... you're gonna remember in an INSTANT
lets not even mention the fact she just told her therapist about this DAYS ago. i believe they even flashed back on that. now she suddenly forgets. she's a police detective and one of the best in miami and her unit. yet, she forgets THAT while seeing the exact same person in the exact same position in the exact same plastic.
she can question him, she can ask about the plastic 3 times, and then call the police. and since its 12 episodes, i'm sure she doesn't tell on dexter in the first episode. so more than likely, like you said, it'll flashback later. i'm just saying its fukking retarded cause she'd remember. rape victims remember people 30 years later and shyt. they still convicting murderers, 40 years later. calling up the same eye witnesses....
but i should believe a decorated detective doesn't remember an event that she just told somebody about a few days ago.... come on now

If you seriously think these lazy ass writers are going to explain anything you're insane. This show has been dead for 2 seasons, and it's set to go for another season after this one. There is no way in hell the LaGuerta shyt will lead anywhere of consequence, unless you think the last season is Dexter in jail for 13 eps.

Deb being a snitch and LaGuerta might be destractions for Dexter but he'll always find a way to come out on top. Now that intern that sent him his mama's hand is going to be the real story that I'm waiting for. Dexter knows Deb and LaGuerta so he can play them accordingly, the intern has a lot of mystery around him so it's gonna be interesting how Dexter goes against him but it's clear that the intern knows Dexter to a certain degree but how much
