I'm curious. Why not? Easily some of the best content in the game right now and with LFG there are so many funny random conversations and things that happen. Like last night a dude that just turned 17 was telling us he got this chick he hates pregnant. It was jokes.

I had stories of my own once.
Just got too lazy to look for a squad.
The usual cats that I used to run with done moved on to other games.

I'm done with attempts at hard mode until I hit 390+. Cats just can't seem to get past Vosik. We hit our stride then some nonsense like randomly dying inside the clean room or getting weasel'ed happens and messes everything up.

True, but I see some of the better lfg groups have hit 390 already and know they have better chances when everyone is around that light.

how'd u get that high? like what specific activities did u do? I'd love to get that high and just carry and help ppl through stuff.

its really dependent on prior grinding and materials you have too
doing strikes til you get to the cap of highest light you can get from strikes....its 385 now i think
you can get to 375-380
buy a lot of heavy from xur and put it into your faction for faction packages....use those one by one to improve your light as well as turning in extra exotic engrams....thats how i got to 390....then i ran archon forge for class items and ghosts and artifacts...then i splurged a few for exotic engrams....i was 396 before i touched the raid....when i finished the raid...i was an artifact away from 400
i legitimately went from 385 to 400 in less than 12 hours
every drop ive gotten from my warlock ive thrown into my other characters
my hunter and titan were 400 before i touched the raid on them...now im just infusing random shyt to 400

i got to 396 from 385 with faction packs at first(to get to 390)...then archon forge and engrams...then going back to the archon after my engrams got me up
if i got that far without the raid...eventually you'll touch 400
of course end game content will boost your odds...nightfalls and trials of osiris...
pvp drop you shyt according to your light level too....all weapons i get and class items in crucible are at 400

Just to reiterate on your post, these 3 and hard mode raid are the only way to get > 385 drops

Edit to add: Nightfall, Trials, Crucible and IB

You should be able run normal mode without much issue, hard will be too tough, it's @ 390

Hitting 400 light is very easy without doing the raid...
