Yeah man, it's was cool running trials again. I ain't touch trials or crucible seriously in a minute. Hopefully I can level up in IB and we can really steam roll in trials next go round.

My Blue Jays are playing the wild card game tomorrow so I don't know how available I'll be but I'll try to hop on mid day

Any tips for improving my game? This is different from other games but I'm enjoying the learning curve. I've been mainly using the AR and staying in the back but when I get someone up close...:beli:

Where's you're going wrong breh. Just get a shotgun like the one from the dead orbit vendor and you're basically top 5% at this game

I mean, if you feel comfortable dropping a replay here I'm sure myself and the other brehs would have no problem critiquing it. Destiny is a game that's really big on movement, but at the same time you need to know how to use it your advantage in a variety of situations. Different weapons and movement kits lead to vastly different playstyles. A lot of people simply play Destiny without a real grasp on what they're already good at and what they should focus on as a starting point - you can't really hop on this straight from Call of Duty or Doom and feel right at home.

I think the best advice anyone can get when early, really early into FPS games like this is to simply dedicate a few games to NOT DYING. Learn how to run from engagements, understand when you're fukked and why, and the best way to learn how crucial some of the movement options are is by using them to get the fukk out of a bad spot.

In the meantime, understand what weapons are good at what. For example, "I've mainly been using the AR and staying in the back...' = no bueno. ARs are legitimately worthless outside of a certain range in PvP. (Also, they just introduce a lot of bad habits to people new to the game as well). You gotta know what weapons are good at what. If you want to stick to that same passive playstyle, bring weapons that fit it. A good scout rifle and equip some grenades that are great at area control in order to keep people off of you.

Shotgunning isn't as easy as it looks. Requires a lot of preshooting and anticipation while knowing how to drive angles like a boss.

Everybody knows those shytty shotgunners and can see them coming from a mile away. Easiest way to go negative in a game is to strap up with a shotgun and sprint your way to the bottom of the scoreboard.

I don't know breh, if you're just getting in to Destiny it's going to be HARD to hold your own online. A lot of guys playing have been playing this game for 2 years plus, so by default they're going to have an advantage on you.

If you're trying to keep your distance, use a scout rifle instead of an AR. AR's haven't been dope like that since the game first dropped. Maybe, try a scout rifle/shot gun combo and see how it works for you. Scout for range shootouts and then switch to the shotty when someone's close.

Iron Banner looking shytty
IMG_0009.jpg

High rate of fire auto rifle without counterbalance it got a perfect balance that's only a little bit of boost and it got no range it got rifle barrel but that kill the stability :trash:
IMG_0008.jpg

This is a perfect god roll shotty with rifled barrel, snapshot and rangefinder only thing that's suck about it. Is it's low image hem Matador, Last Ditch and Party Crasher gonna wreck you in PvP :trash:

Once we played a card and improved our chemistry a bit we started steamrolling teams. Thats with TicTac and I being under-leveled by 20 Light most the time. I'm down for private matches or whatever though just hit me up if you see me online.

I'll be ready for Banner later on today. hopefully theres room in the lobby by the time I get on. This is pretty much my only shot of increasing my light since I don't have a Raid team and don't want to struggle with LFG.

head shots....hand cannons in the game are a monster if you get head shots...most can 3 hit kill....that ill will is a 1 hitter quitter though, it's so damn lovely....

Any tips for improving my game? This is different from other games but I'm enjoying the learning curve. I've been mainly using the AR and staying in the back but when I get someone up close...:beli:

best tip to get better is just play and not worry about k/d....play to get used to the game (supers, learning maps, speed of the game, etc.), find your play style, and try out different weapons to find what you like to use that fits that style....at this point, most that play the game have already done that, so they have an advantage on people trying to just get in the game....they know maps, how they like playing, what guns can do at what ranges, what guns they like, what perks on guns they like, etc.....ex: that's how people can body cats with hand cannons and got you wondering how they do it....

since you like to play the back with an AR in other games, i suggest you find a good scout rifle....they are better at fighting from a distance in this game than ARs are...ARs are meant for closer fighting in destiny...look into the one from dead orbit (it's a monster with great perks already on it) or getting the badger from a vanguard drop....if you cant get one of those, the vanguard or crucible ones work...also, i'd pair a shotty or fusion rifle with that for close fighting....

the key thing in what i'm saying is to find stuff YOU like that fits YOUR play style...i say that cause you can look online and see what the majority are using in setups cause of what some youtuber/twitch player uses, but that doesnt mean you'll like to use it nor does it mean you'll be good with it....just remember you play the game for you....

like @42 Monks said, shot gunning aint as easy as cats think....yea, it's higher reward, but it's also higher risk cause you gotta get closer with most of them cause of all the changes to them...that is, unless you do the cheap shyt and crouch/camp behind corners which some do, smh....

i'd even say shot gunning was harder than sniping before they introduced flinching....now with flinching though, you better not be a camping, hard scoping sniper....you aint gonna make it lol...and i love it, fukking campers make me sick...

I have to say...PVP always looks fun and interesting when youtubers and streamers go play at Bungie, but whenever the latest dlc releases and we're actually playing it the pvp starts leaning a specific way. No balance whatsoever. The current matador partycrasher sniping for example is mad annoying. Not being able to use whole classes of weapons because they were nerfed for pvp specifically and the meta doesn't cater to it is :snoop:
