You're part of the reason it's "short" for everybody.

I still don't get how anybody just figures out everything in this game on their own. Is there a strat guide for Destiny that has all this info that these Youtubers just magically just know in order to make their content videos?

Yeah, I think so too to be honest. I wouldn't be surprised if the Raid Group that finished KF first got some tips/pointers from Bungie either, considering 2 of the biggest streamers for the game were in the same group.
