Still haven't sniffed it myself. I guess I'd do it for the gear to get max level for IB and Trials cuz the weapons don't seem all that hotFinally got around to actually doing the raid and all i got to say is

I don't see them being more viable than the Black Spindle in most PVE content tho, could be wrong

Meanwhile, Arc sword clears mobs faster than most rocket launchers and Solar swords have an equal if not greater damage output without having to worry about a reload. The guy who solo'd Spindle daily did it with a sword lol

So far I only have the auto rifle, fusion rifle and machine gun. They're not too bad but I would prefer the hand cannon, shotgun and rocket launcher. Missing just the helmet and gloves. Hopefully get them next time.

Only good for two bosses really. Warpriest and Golgoroth.
Oryx doesn't have a crit point at all. You'd have to reload and that immediately trashes the entire point of the weapon. Sisters go down no problem because they're not a DPS check like that.
I mean... its still a very good weapon, but the issue is that its situational. More situational than Black Hammer was because bosses behaved VERY differently in Year 1 than they do now. Atheon wasn't throwing Ogres at people and dragging them into the Shadow Realm and just about every strike boss was a slow moving sponge.

great for ad/major control as you never have to reload and a lot of helmets have the option for orb generation on heavy kill
its pretty much just great for everything. one thing i always notice is that people don't block enough. right now, you can fukking block crota's oversoul for fukks sake lol. but unless you've got the perfect exotic primary or secondary for the job, i'll always encourage the sword. its just good for everything.
