I got it as a random drop 3 times. Twice for a Nightfall and once in Crucible.
Fully upgraded it is a monster. Has 3 random bullets in a mag of 13 that do OP damage. Handles great, fires quick and sounds like a hand cannon should sound!

There my be triggers that get it to drop in PVP, ie, 500 hand cannon kills or something like that, but I do not know what it is.
I guess I have just been lucky...or unlucky to get 3, depending on how you look at it.

wats crazy is i got mad hand cannon exotics and just scrapped them cause im ignorant like that... im prety sure one was a hawkmoon...

ill probably stick with autorifle... the range on on shadowprice with the perk still allows it to be used like a scout rifle... but id like to use a handcannon just to see...

cause the majority of level 30s are now using them

I think the increase in people using them is due to Datto swearing by it. In all his videos, he is only using the Hawk Moon. I have been using it since LvL 26 (currently 29) and when I try to use anything else, I'm getting pwned. My PVP play style has become dependent on a hand cannon, for better or worse.

Had the Thorn Exotic Bounty, and trying to get 500 pts worth of Void Kills with Atheon's Epilouge and 77 Wizard was frustrating as fukk. I abandoned it and went right back to Hawk Moon and have not turned back.
I got Bad Juju, Thunderlord, Red Death, Ice Breaker and Pocket Infinity and have barely fired any of them except Pocket Infinity which is maxed out, but kind of sucks since they nerfed the 8 round clip. Should have made it 5, but with no ammo return and you would see that weapon popping up everywhere instead.

yeah to be quite honest with you, im happy that players have an alternative to the autorifle... everyone thought it would be the scout rifle... which honestly still needs to be nerfed along with pulse rifle HARD

hand cannon has arisen as the the most viable option if u dont want to use autorifle... its legit similar to battle rifle in halo now

the hand cannon has become the go to gun now...people are sniping with the shyt now cause it's that powerful and has that much range.....lets see what bungie does about this....

i hope that's not the case...by that i mean i hope people arent just waiting for someone to tell them what's good or not to use, instead of just trying the shyt's out for themselves...

Oh, I agree completely. I started using mine cause it was a new shiney toy and just fit well in my play style. But if you watch any of Datto's videos, which millions do, he is always hyping and\or using the Hawk Moon so people think it is the best weapon in the game just on that principle.

Ok, so the coli needs to start getting a Raid Crew down so we can get this shyt done every week and have more guys on here hit level 30.

There's more than enough of us who've played the Raid and know what to do, so let's start doing it together. Not trying to be stuck at Level 29 forever cause I can't get a group to run this Raid with.

I see too many 29s on my list from here.

Yeah man, once a week for the last 3 weeks on reset. Need to get that full Raid armor!

No problem running it on Normal though, still get gear drops and such.
