My main motivation for getting high level gear was so I could be competitive in the Iron Banner, but apparently your gear doesn't even matter.
I've been disappointed by every weekly event so far....
I think my time with this game is about to see a sharp decrease. I haven't even played in the last three days. Game is still fun, but I've gotten the carrot. No need to chase it anymore.
noticed this last night....it seemed whole teams i was going against only used fusion rifles....but i'm not surprised...didnt know which gun people would run to next, but once 1 gets nerfed, people flock to the next....it's an endless cycle and one reason i'm against nerfs...

I still haven't seen a single exotic bounty I think y'all just making them up 
I was trying to beat the Nightfall solo last night, the damn Stealth dudes kept creeping up on my and killing me on the last wave of that part where you're defending Ghost...
shyt ain't even hard but I was getting pissed cause everytime they got to me I had a Super ready but since the Hunter's not invincible when he starts the Arc Blade I couldn't get it off in time to kill those bytch ass dudes
best way to do this solo is to go to the area with the cave entrance, where the train car is at...the enemies wont come over there cause they wont go past a certain point...just be careful when it's the 3rd wave and the hive come out cause they come out of the hole that's near there.....

i got another one last night... and im gonna delete it... its the same 3 options i got last time and none of them fit my play style...
even the shotgun the invective is not as good as the legendary shotty from the raid...
exotic bounties are overrated dont trip... focus on the raid..
it does matter...you can tell if you played the banner, then went and played the reg crucible right afterwards....also, that vid is deceiving cause all people are looking at is his ranking...they arent looking at the fact he has some skills (he mentions he has a lvl30 character) and how he went about attacking people in the vid (always with a group, sneaking them from cover, and/or while they were in a firefight with others)...he rarely went 1v1 with some, and when he did, he lost....
like @GoldenGlove said: we had the discussion a couple pages back...i get their point of view: they thought it would be a free for all and that higher levels would/should crush lower levels no matter what...i just disagreed with that....

Going for my 4th Exotic Gun from a Bounty I recieved last night.
I'm on a Roll with this shyt. Lol
This one is easy as hell. You can finish this bounty in about an hour [that's if Xur is available].

Like others have said, just hand in multiple bounties at once and consistently do bounties. I've done that for about a week and a half and have gotten around 3 exotic bounties.
Well first you were saying that the Devs were listening to complaints and doing things based on the masses of the complaining internet (which can be overwhelming with a release of this size). So which is it ? Are the Devs making people play the game they want they (the devs) want it to be played or are they catering to the internet
This is an interesting conversation because on one side I can see what you're saying. The Devs are making folks hop from one foot to the next for seemingly no reason other than the fact that we're doing things that they didn't have in mind when they created the game. I get that. There are two sides to this coin though. Are they limiting option A to force players to use option B? or are they giving those that enjoy using option B as much of a fighting chance as option A has?
If I were a Dev I would be thinking Balance = Longevity. As soon as one particular method of combat becomes identified as the absolute best and it has nothing to do with skill or talent, you have a problem. Everyone will flock to that and quickly become bored with it. Forcing you to make a decision about what gun you should use for what map or scenario isn't the same as forcing you to do other shyt simply for the sake of. Its saying "the smarter guy is going to have an edge here, but the more talented guy can still win based off of skill alone"
Is this not how it should be? Or did I miss your point entirely?

Honestly my dude, I think it's random.
What I did last night was look for a public event because I needed an ascendant shard to upgrade my exotic helmet all the way.
After I got the shard I headed back to the tower and took some Bounties. (I usually go for the ones with 5000xp)
Decided to do the Strike Playlist on level 24. I did 3 Strikes, went back to the tower, and turned in a bunch of Engrams to the Cryptarch(I'm sitting at Level 21, now). I went to to the Moon and did a Bounty. In the process, I'm knocking out some of my other Bounties.
Left there and did the daily Heroic on 28. Left that and did the weekly heroic strike on 28, also.
Knocked out a couple more of my bounties while doing that. Ended up helping my boy that helped me with the Weekly Heroic do one of his missions. Afterwards, he bounces and I head back to the tower to turn in my Bounties. that's when the Exotic Bounty popped up.
