Maybe I should pull one of my scout rifles out of the vault since they might be usable now :ohhh:

scout rifles have always been usable...

anyway: so it starts...this is another reason i dislike playing mp...the minority of people complain about shyt, devs make changes for that minority, fukking with the game for the majority....most of the changes are usually just nerfs to the popular, 'it' thing of the moment, which is fukking stupid....instead of nerfing the auto rifles, they shouldve just boosted the shyt they thought was weaker...all nerfing does is start the cycle of complaining and nerfing for whatever the 'it'/popular weapon is at that moment....cause now watch, the same people that bytched about auto rifles are gonna start bytching about scout rifles...it's gonna get to the point the only gun being used is the hand cannon...which ironically, they boosted again, even though it's already powerful as shyt....

also, the nerfs are fukking up other parts of the game, making it less fun:

1. this isnt a pvp only game...the changes they make are gonna affect the pve part...so they're making the weapons weaker against the computer too, which is gonna take away some of the fun.....

2. what's the point of going after and upgrading some legendary weapons now?...if all they gonna do is nerf them, there is no point...which takes away some of the fun of the game...

another thing: how the fukk they already nerf the vex gun?...that's one of the reason people want to do the raid on hard cause of the chance of getting that gun...the fact it got nerfed just kinda killed some of that motivation...

In a MP game the gunplay/firefight is what matters. In a game like this where it's 6v6 the battle engagements are more personable than say, BF4

If you boost all the guns to drop people like the Auto Rifles then you're creating an experience where the time it takes to kill would not be fun. The Auto Rifles needed to be nerfed because people were using them in all scenarios for all distances and WINNING gun fights against shyt that's supposed to rape that set up outside of mid range and into long range. I'm glad they're nerfing them, because there are too many scrubs online that rely on that weapon class for everything.

how you figure?...they decreased the range and damage it does, while making them harder to use....all this guaranteed is instead of seeing people using a variety of them, gonna start seeing the same 1 now...

they lowered stability not range... so I can still basically snipe with the shadow price... I dont know... they were so clearly better than the other primaries that they would have had to do something major to make them equal to scout rifles... and i dont think they were willing to mess with things too much

even without the auto rifles, it doesnt take that long to kill people in this game...shotties, snipers, and some hand cannons are 1 hitter quitters...hell, at the most they are 2 or 3 hitter quitters....on top of that, you can add nades and supers....so saying boosting all the weapons would make it less fun doesnt fly....nerfing shyt is just the minority and devs trying to force the majority to play the game how they want, which is bullshyt....

not only that, so what people gravitated to the auto rifles cause of ease of use?...that's how it tends to work in most mp games: people go for the gun that is either the easiest to use and/or the one that kills the best....nerfing the autos just means now people will move on from autos to another weapon...what happens then, they gonna nerf that next too?.....

'because there are too many scrubs online that rely on that weapon class for everything' - and there is the root of it all...it's all about ego...the main ones that complain about what others use in the game are just upset that others are getting the better of them....instead of just saying the other player was better that game, that you mightve been off that game, etc.; players tend to say it must be what the player was using as to why they got the better of them...'that shyt must be op cause i lost'....

the biggest diference is head shot damage (yellow) went from 1.5 multiplier to 1.25... so each kill will probably take about 1-2 seconds longer... but alot of autorifle shots go to the body which wasnt altered at all...

i still gotta play with it more... but i dont think it is as big of a deal as the 20% damage drop off for shotguns

Yes it does fly. All the stuff you named isn't a PRIMARY weapon. So you acting like the Auto Rifles were perfectly fine is complete horse shyt. It's clear as day that they were OP when Scout Rifles and Pulse Rifles simply would lose out in range gun battles.

no, you cant basically still snipe with the shadow price...the stability of the gun was a good thing, that just got affected....so no it's less stable and does less damage....

also, no autos werent clearly better than other primaries, they were just the easiest to use....before this fix, you could already kill faster with a hand cannon, scout, and pulse rifle than an auto cause they did more damage and impact, but it took more effort cause you gotta aim...people would rather spray and pray though.....

ok cool man im not going to get into the whole n00bs argument... from what i saw the best weapons by far overall in close, mid range and distance were Galadad E, Shingen E, Silvered Hushwind and to a lesser extent shadow price... this is speaking pvp strictly...

its not a matter of people wanting to spray and pray... everyone used battle rifles over assault rifles in halo because they had a clear advantage... people will always gravitate to the guns that have an advantage... its really not about effort.

hand cannons are a primary weapon and all it takes is 1-3 head shots to kill...

autos compared to other primaries:

pulse rifles do more damage/impact, they just lack range...so they should lose in a ranged fight with an auto if the other person is giving you head shots....the closer, the more advantage for pulses....

scouts do more damage/impact, and have better range than autos, but if you cant aim/push the button fast enough, you should lose that battle too if you within range...the further the range in battle, the more advantage for the scout...

...do i think the autos were perfect? no, just like all the weapons in the game they have pros/cons, but i dont think they deserved a nerf cause they were the popular gun..

i wasnt trying to make a noob argument...i dont use that term....i was keeping it strictly about the guns...

in this game, the advantage of the autos isnt they are the best guns....there are other guns in this game that are better than the autos, but they arent as easy to use....the main the advantages of the autos is the ease of use and they have a lot of bullets....and with the action so fast in the game, those are huge things....
