I didn't think I'd like the game as much as I do. Went from I'll think about it to first day cop thanks to the alpha. I'll probably preorder off PSN so I can get in to the beta

You could do that.
You can upgrade weapons and add parts in the alpha. i think you can trade weapons too.

those happen by getting kills, highlight the gun and hit triangle and if you unlocked it you can switch scopes
