Pretty sure since it's an always online game, you'd need the servers for story missions. If I remember correctly in the beta, when the servers were down for maintenance you couldn't log in at allSo once it's 9/9 somewhere the servers will be up

i might just do that instead and cancel my amazon order when i get paid next week instead of amazon sending me an email at 12:00am which they might not do on time anyway

yes...as soon as it hits 9/9 in the world, they turning them on, so you can get it in a day early if you got it...
just got an email saying best buy will open at midnight for this, so i'll grab my pre-order copy then....
on a side note: i knew the game was anticpated and a big deal, but didnt know it was that big...midnight releases are reserved for huge games...
This could be as big as GTA V if not bigger most GameStops I've been to said they've sold out. I'm probably gonna have to camp out to get a good group for the midnight release. They do the line group tickets at 6pm at my GameStop so it goes faster.
