dude, he went out of his way to trash kanyon and tote that company line bullshyt he was spewing back then
kanyon was only a footnote only cause they sanbagged his career after he got hurt
wwe dont even be acknowledging wcw like that either

like you keep responding to these posts like we're saying kanyon was supposed to be some super mega main eventer, when none of us said that

I’m more so speaking towards the narratives online, not necessarily anything you guys have said specifically

people are looking at Kanyon with rose colored glasses because of the recency of the dark side episode. nikkas are talking like he revolutionized the modern style of wrestling and got held back from stardom, as if nikkas like RVD and Jerry Lynn don’t exist.

all I’m saying is a guy like Chris Kanyon is your typical dime a dozen wrestler that shined when had the chance, fell out of favor once when he got hurt and suffered from a bloated roster of talented wrestlers passing him by

had he not acted irrationally with wild allegations and publicity stunts at shows, maybe he would have gotten a second chance. Who knows.. but once he went on his bipolar episode, the E struck back. Didn’t trash him, didn’t demean him. All they said is you got fired because you weren’t good enough to keep around. Y’all say worse shyt than that to each other on a daily basis lol

I know y’all forgot about the publicity stunts because the doc glossed over them, but I was around. I remember

Kanyon appeared on the CNN special Death Grip: Inside Pro Wrestling, in November 2007 following the aftermath of the Chris Benoit double-murder and suicide. On the program, Kanyon stated that on September 14, 2003, he had taken 50 sleeping pills in a suicide attempt.[4]

In the early hours of October 16, 2004, he was arrested in Ybor City, Tampa, Florida for "disorderly conduct and resisting arrest without violence" after attempting to break up a fight.[1] He was released that same day after fellow wrestler Altar Boy Lukeprovided a US$750 cash bond. Kanyon publicly stated he did nothing wrong, and the case was thrown out of court.

Kanyon, along with Raven and Michael Sanders, attempted to sue WWE for "cheating them out of health care and other benefits" but a federal judgein Stamford, Connecticut, dismissed the case.[5]

In 2004, after Kanyon's release from WWE, he began what was thought to be a gimmick in which he was an openly gay wrestler. This included an occasion in which he stated that WWE released him from his contract because of his sexuality. Kanyon later told reporters and radio personalities that this was just a publicity stunt.[6] He later retracted these statements and acknowledged that he was in fact gay.[7] Before his death Kanyon was working on a book, Wrestling Reality, with Ryan Clark. The book was released November 1, 2011, and it details Kanyon's struggles as a closeted gay man.[8][9]

I watched the Plane Ride from Hell last night. Wtf is Tommy Dreamer talking bout. He might as well have said it ain’t sexual assault until he bust a nut.

he sounded like an “anti woke” dude or something. Absolutely disgusting comments made by him.

I had to google him to see if anyone else felt the same and apparently he’s been suspended by Impact for his comments in that episode. Hope he never works again tbh

This was one was tough. There is NO way you can convince me that the Taker segment wasn’t because of him being gay. This is the first time I saw it, but it made no sense to have him come out as Boy George singing to Taker. And the beat down afterwards :picard: The AEW dude who worked for WWE back then saying they wouldn’t do anything like that is full of shyt lol. We know for sure that they’ve done worse.

His demons were on him heavy..his manager was better than most cause I would’ve been out the first time he acted a damn fool. It’s best to live how you want to live but I guess that’s easier said than done..especially back then and the industry he was in.

Salute to Bowens, hes a talented wrestler and I see him on Ethan Page blog a lot and I can tell he's a good person
i always wonder how Bowens feels when Caster raps because he def slips homophobic type bars in here and there. i dont know if Bowen's wrestling character has a preference but i know he's homosexual his self.
