Vince, Linda, and JR were all up front.
OK. I just went off memory and I only remember that JR and Vince scene.
Edit: Found where they said Linda was on the plane. About 7 mins in.

Coach fukked up and conflated the Plane Ride from Hell case (which was raised and settled in Arizona) with another case he was party to. If you notice, he deleted all the shyt he was slinging at the Dark Side of the Ring guys a few hours after this and issued a mea culpa of sorts.
The one thing he DID clarify was that Vince was NOT on the Plane Ride from Hell, which lines up with Meltzer's Observer Radio update from today, as well as his reporting from the time period (it's the May 13, 2002 Newsletter, for those who want to check). The Newsletter report actually corroborates the vast majority of the DSOTR doc, but it specifically states that Vince wasn't on the plane, and that Michael Hayes was actually supposed to be one of the people in charge (which would explain a lot). He doesn't accuse anybody of lying outright, but rather said that there were two or three flights that got to around the level of the Plane Ride from Hell, at least one of which Vince and Linda were on. He thinks people may be conflating flights when it comes to the subject of Vince's presence (I believe it was JR and Terri who said he was there, I'd have to rewatch the doc).
Everything else seems to be solid, though, in line with the reporting from the time. But this would explain why Vince gets off light in the doc.
You act as if this wasn't standard operating procedure in the business. It's clear that, if so many people in the business were doing it that RVD can frame it as he does (and people can just openly tell stories about people doing shyt like this as if it's a harmless joke), then management at least didn't care too much about it. At worst, it would have been his ass that got the heat and severely harmed his career if he said anything. Start at the top if you want to dole out blame for actions like this being perpetrated.
Vince wasn't on the plane thats why they were able to do so much bullshyt
Lowkey Scott Hall not getting all the attention that Dreamer and Flair are getting is wild.

Max ducking the fade under the guise of shytting on the city
Vince was absolutely on the plane brehs
Sorry, I know no one wants to hear that but we gotta accept it
ill do both of you back to back
Yeah now it's a who knows situation because in the DSOTR episode they clearly state and show Vince and Linda were there.
Now some say they weren't. So either mix ups or people are lyin'.
Here’s the thing.
Niccas flip flop too more times in here on Meltzer than Vince did with Big Show & his Face/Heel turns
When Meltzer says something negative or exposes the E (or good for other company’s) it’s “don’t trust him, he ain’t credible, he don’t know shyt”
But when he says something good or in support of the E (or negative for other companies) it’s “but Meltzer said…., he knows, we should trust him”
Niccas ain’t bout to play that game in here today
Vince was absolutely on the plane brehs
Sorry, I know no one wants to hear that but we gotta accept it
Dude, I hate Vince as much as anyone on this board, if not more, but I'm not going to lie about the guy if I can help it. Reports from the period don't put him there, what we have of the 2004 lawsuit documents don't put him there and only refers to vague "management officials of WWE" that were present (see here: ), and Meltzer's report in the May 13, 2002 Observer explicitly stated that Gerald Brisco, Arn Anderson, and Michael Hayes were running things on the flight, not Vince. The only non-DSOTR source that puts him there, I believe, is JR's second book (which I haven't read in a while, so I'm not even sure about that).
Vince HAS apparently been on flights similar to the Plane Ride from Hell before, so he clearly doesn't care that much about shyt like this going down (and as I said in my other post, other incidents may have been conflated with this one. I'd love to see if someone has the full suit to see if Vince gets mentioned in it, though), and he needs to take responsibility for letting Flair and Brock slide either way, but let's address what actually happened to the best of our ability here.
Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if the doc itself was unclear about this if I were to go back and watch it.
