I think the next few shows will be where we get the best episode. The Grizzly Smith episode is gonna be a tough watch.I can't put my finger on it but this season has been super mid so far.

Thought the Pillman and the North Korea one were good, the Nick Gage episode and this one were kinda meh to me thoI can't put my finger on it but this season has been super mid so far.
Dana's complaints def unwarranted , there is no way if you are being honest he comes off smelling like a bed od roses, but that was light compared to what they could have done
To me it started immediately after Brian Pillman pt I, which was cause pt II was They should’ve made it into 1 episode. It’s been meh since. Even the SI article on WCW in North Korea was more entertaining/informative.I can't put my finger on it but this season has been super mid so far.
Between the imaginary 91 title run and wanting to run the fade at the Hall Of Fame we might have to start a Snake-Tales category
I guess cause he never got a rematch/revenge against Slaughter after Macho Man cost him the title at Rumble. Now that Warrior retired Savage he could get revenge. I agree with you though that made no damn sense as it really should've been Undertaker/Warrior.Yeah, Jake's memory mighta been cloudy on that one because the feud was definitely supposed to start rollin after SummerSlam but it wasn't for the title because Warrior wasn't champion.
They had started it on TV with the snake biting Warrior but they hadn't had any matches on the house shows or done any other TV promos or angles yet... this was also why they ended up doing the Savage/Jake feud post-Summerslam, they also did a Sid/Taker/Jake segment but they had to write Sid off TV because he got hurt.
Honestly it never made any sense why Warrior was in the tag match with Hogan against Slaughter and co... he was feuding with Taker that summer and it was rolling over to the feud with Jake. He didn't really have much to do with Hogan and Slaughter's storyline until the match was announced.
I always thought that Warrior coming back (2014) for that brief moment put some strain on his heart and resulted in his death. It may sound silly but all that screaming at his age definitely shook up his insides, you could see it as he left the ring.
I think some of these episodes are falling flat because nothing new is being talked about or exposed. With all the wrestling pod casts and youtube channels we have basically heard it all before.
And one more thing, what JR said was the truth...the fact that Hulk took a pin fall in the middle of the ring for Warrior was a fukking miracle, especially at that time.
I can't lie I think The Ultimate Warrior still has one of the GOAT looks but his whole career is him having the look and not giving af about his ring work and just winging it on promos. The disappointment was real when I saw the big splash was his finish.
I think they should have either
- not done a Warrior episode
- done a more specific Warrior topic, like him holding up Vince for money or the returns in 96/98
too much time was spent on stuff we all know, like his team with sting, dingo Warrior, the crazy promos. it just wasn’t fresh
