I can't lie I think The Ultimate Warrior still has one of the GOAT looks but his whole career is him having the look and not giving af about his ring work and just winging it on promos. The disappointment was real when I saw the big splash was his finish.

A and E's doc was better and taught me more that I didn't know. This was less of a hit piece than I thought it'd be, but wasn't really that good from any angle. Not that informative and no good promos burying him.

I was expecting his ex wife to bury him and call him abusive and an ex gay escort, but she mostly put him over. I am a little surprised that he cheated on her with that many different women though. Maybe he changed later in life but that's very at odds with the "shoot" Warrior that he portrayed since the Self Destruction DVD.

If I knew nothing about his 1996 run other than this doc, I would think that what happened was that he appeared at Wrestlemania, was over, stuck around for a few weeks, and by a month or so he was getting dead reactions and Vince decided to release him shortly after that. And that's obviously not what happened.

I'm not mad that WCW wasnt covered in either doc. Bischoff covered it on his podcast and there's just not much to cover. Hogan probably COULD have some good insight into what happened but you know he's just gonna bullsh1t and put himself over if you ask him about it.

And why didn't they touch his WCW run? They had Bischoff there, for fukk's sake.

Maybe because it was just a few appearances, 3 matches, one of which (vs. Hogan), posted in this thread btw, is considered the worst match ever.

Then he mainly retires after that barring a few appearances here and there in small promotions before his HOF induction.

Maybe it wasn't worth anyone's time to cover that? :manny:

Just the sight of dude made me feel like we need a doc on his time in wrestling. Wasn’t there a time they him upset Honky or some shyt?

He beat Skip (Chris Candido) and Hakushi (Jinsei Shinsaki) in the mid-90's. Then they had him team with Hakushi for awhile too against Skip. I remember reading there's going to be an episode about enhancement talent this season, so maybe the OG Barry Horowitz shows up on it.

Cornette calling out Warrior for being a racist and a homophobe would be funny if he didn't lack any semblance of self awareness. :skip:

I'm still waiting on the filth from this episode Dana

It's almost like she did the Conservative White woman thing of trying to make herself look like a victim, pre-emptively, because she knows there's dirt they could have put on her :russell:

They didn't even mention her by name in this :heh:

You should try to watch it. It's pretty hilarious to see everyone shyt on him, especially the Edge & Christian impressions of his promos.

Pretty much. Most of what I know about warrior is second hand knowledge. I completely forget about that :mjpls: drivel he was spewing. Nonetheless, the information provided was still interesting to say the least.

My QTNA:

1. What's the real story behind his '96 run? The doc made it seem like he flamed out/was a an unwelcome relic from a bygone era. :jbhmm:

2. So all that DDP Yoga Jake did was just to put hands and feet on warrior at the 2014 HOF?:ohhh: Jake in the cut/That's a scary site. :wow:

You can listen to Bruce Prichard, Cornette or JR talk about his 96 run quite a bit. They have gone into it on their podcasts.

I was hoping they'd have Bischoff or someone else give the dirt on his WCW run since that seems like it's always glossed over. I guess the other new spot was his ex-wife's take on him. It's clear she was still feeling some type of way for him too.

This was painfully clear.

He was over, but really not that over compared to his early 90s run. Not even close.

He was kinda just shoehorned into the mid-upper card and had programs with Jerry Lawler and Goldust I think? After the initial buzz of his return the whole thing felt flat and he just wasnt that magical or likable.

And this is when the audience was starting to shift, the product was about to become edgier and Stone Cold Steve Austin was on the verge of taking off. Comic book characters like UW didnt really mesh, he felt out of place.

I think UW started making unreasonable demands again, no showed 2 house shows and Vince fired him quickly. HIs last match in the company was against Owen Hart. I think they were starting a program.
